infobaba i find it so hard to believe that you of all people will be replying me with such teasing words.for your information university of Ibadan as a school have its own ICT and it is broadband.the system is faster than any system within the school community.any uiates can attest to that.in fact,it was a guy that specialize on pc that even told me of the speed of the system 100mbps if you are thinkin am exaggerating, just pay a visit to the locus in quo.if you have not see sth before, that does not mean it doesn't exist or it is a fallacy.let us not be myopic in our views.

A cyber cafe near my school browses @ 100mbps but d server is still sometimes slow.My point is that its not the connection speed that matters but d rate at which it transfers data that matters e.g system A with a speed of 100mbps may transfer at d rate of 10kbps while another system B with a speed of 10mbps may transfer its data @ d rate of 50kbps & if you use both system, you'll discover that system B browses more faster that system A.So connection speed is one thing while transfer rate another thing entirely.

Guy's is it 100kbps or 100mbps. . . . because if the conn speed is 100mbps then that stuff wuld download files in sec. . . . . . Sect downloading  speed is diff from conn speed, u're right. . . . .but the more u download, the slower the speed. . .

100mbs is out of it. Honsule, i think you're rather judging it from the display message. Thats just the default speed of of the LAN network adapter. The connection speed is usually 115kbs to 921kbs. Data transfer could be much faster. Broadband simply has a direct connection to the satelite. So forget about the 100 stuff. Thats pure fiction. Even yankee never reach that level.
when i was at covenant university, our connection was up to 2mbs, and thats the fastest i have seen so far. The display message was always 100, but thats just for the LAN, NOT the main speed.

powerblaze, anyone with a 2mb connection should be the happiest surfer in nigeria lol, a 2mbps is equivalent to a 2000kpbs which means u get (2000/8)kb/s, woooohoooo that's 250kb/s up and down speed.  Shocked

guys,my phone survived a crash today.what infobaba said about upgrading his phone that took him 5-6 hrs is true.i went to another cyber cafe today to try out the upgrading,my pc suite and updater was actually installed, when i tried to update i was told categorically to put my phone charger,i have to go back and pick my charger.when it started installation i was warned that removing my phone or switching it off might damage my phone.it started around 3:10pm the cyber cafe was closed up around 5:15pm,but still it was upgrading.i switch off the system removed my phone and instantly removed my battery and flashed my phone.my phone is still version 2.06.i might go back there tomorrow.i must upgrade my phone.am determined,no matter the RISK.
