Embarrassing Moments In Nigeria
« on: April 05, 2006, 12:08 PM »

I took one of these Molue buses on my way to school , I was with a friend and she said that if we say we are staff , the conductor will not collect our bus fare from us
When it was time for us to pay I said “Staff”, the conductor just moved back and was like efun milaye ,,momaju awon omoyi sita(give way I will throw these girls outside)  if you see the rate at which I gave him my bus fare, I even forgot to get my change.

Another one was one day I wore these suede skirt and I walked pass oshodi…. The sales men there just started pulling me left and right shouting APOSHE … that day I started praying for the ground to open

So what funny or embarrassing experience have you been through in Nigeria

Here is mine. I had been chasing this girl for a long time, so one day i saw walking past my house. It just rained and it was almost dark. I was so focused on walking up to her that i was not watching my steps ! i stepped on a small puddle, i yelled out and jumped forward only to land in a bigger one. All the people standing by the road just busted out laughing at me. The girl saw me and stopped and to my surprise she laughed so hard that we began friendship that night.

A second one is one day i escorted her home after a visit. when we got close to her house we moved to a spot we thought was secluded and we began to kiss and make out. All of a sudden, some older women and their children began shouting " Ole ole ole , emi esu ( Devil's mind)". Take it inside and do it properly ! Don't sleep with her in front of our house. We felt so embarassed but the good thing was that it was dark and no one saw our faces.

I'll never forget this one that happened to me in my 100 level days.

There's this Nike chick that happens to be a family friend as in we practically grew up as friends. We both entered UI d same year (different courses) but took similar courses together dt year ( Faculty of Science). It so happened dt we both had ds funny habit of pinching each other's bum right from when we were li'l kids. By the time hers really started expanding I did more of grabbing while she obviously had to make do with pinching 'cs I had nothin for her to grab lol  Grin
Tragedy struck on ds fateful day at an eatery that was within Fac of Science then called 2T's or som'n like dt. Lo n' behold I saw Nike in her typical top and jeans backing me and Bingo!! I had grabbed it only for her to turn and Jeeeesus Christ!!! t'was some other girl I'd never come across in ma life.  Shocked Shocked Shocked  I guessed what was coming but I still tried stuttering some damage control explanation-come-apology. Luckily the anticipated slap didn't come, the girl just gave me that talk-to-da hand thang and told me to spare her the apologies. Embarrassed Embarrassed Cry  I still don't know how I found my way out of the eatery dt day but one thing- . . . . . . Nike's booty never got grabbed no more. . . at least not by me. Embarrassed Cry Cry
