just want to tell some people am not messing around and condemning peoples job.i belivee that nairaland is a place you can learn not to discourage people.enjoy my story as you read through.mean why this is not the story am talking about but just want to give you a little tip.
Genre: Drama
This is a short film that is a drama/ thriller. A teenager, Jon, who's Dad just died is starting to be stalked by a homeless man. In the end Jon finds out that he is dead
THE HOMELESS MAN (SHORT)
FADE IN:
INT. HOUSE ADULT'S ROOM - NIGHT
You can see Mom’s arms as she drops clothes into her bag
from inside her closet. The room is fairly messy. The bed is
not made. Jon walks in.
JON
What time does your plane leave
Mom?
MOM
Well, I have to leave the house in
a half hour but my flight doesn’t
leave midnight.
JON
Ok, just wondering
MOM
Uh huh,
JON
So, do you need any help packing?
MOM
No sweetheart.
JON
Alright Mom.
Jon exits. End with shot of Mom looking towards where Jon
was standing lovingly.
INT. HOUSE COMPUTER ROOM - NIGHT
Jon enters and goes onto computer. He starts “miming someone
on his computer about how he is going to have a party while
his Mom is gone. Footsteps are heard. Jon exits out of the
box and his Mom walks in carrying luggage.
MOM (Tearing)
Jon, listen to me. You promise
that you will be good! I am so
sorry that I have been gone so
much lately. But, I have had to
work more ever since your Dad
died.

JON (Getting Up)
Don't Worry about it Mom.
He helps his Mom with her luggage and they start walking
towards the door.
FRONT YARD
They start walking towards their car.
JON
You are staying at Grandpa's
house, right?
MOM
Yes, his number is on the fridge.
They are at the car by now. Jon hugs Mom.
JON
Bye Mom, love you.
MOM
Bye sweetie!
Mom gets into her car and drives away. Jon waves towards
her. After her car is out of sight Jon jumps into the middle
of the road.
JON (To himself.)
Finally.
A car zooms down the road towards Jon. He jumps out of the
way right before it hits him.
INT. HOUSE FAMLIY ROOM - NIGHT
Jon is sitting on his couch talking on the phone with his
friend Nathan.
NATHAN (Over the phone)
I am so stoked for your party.
What kind of beer are you getting?
JON
Definitely marlot.
NATHAN (Over the phone)
Yeah, everything else is way to
expensive.

JON (Anxiously)
The girls are bringing the
cigarettes, right?
NATHAN (Over the phone)
Yeah man, calm down!
JON
OK, sorry man. I just want
everything to be perfect.
He gets up and starts heading towards his kitchen.
JON
So, can I copy your answers to the
history homework during homeroom?
KITCHEN
Jon starts making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
NATHAN (Over the phone)
Me and Jenny are planning on
cutting that class tomorrow. We
were going to hang out down by the
ice skating rink.
JON
Alright, that sounds good.
NATHAN (Over the phone)
Yeah.
JON (Curiously)
How are things going with you and
Jenny?
NATHAN (Over the phone)
Good, when are you going to get a
girlfriend?
Jon is done making his peanut butter and jelly sandwich now.
He walks into his family room.
FAMILY ROOM
Pause. Jon sees a hobo standing on his deck, knocking on the
door. Jon stands their frozen.
NATHAN (Over the phone)
(Frustrated)
Hello?

Pause. The hobo disappears.
JON (Scared)
I’m sorry. I saw a homeless man on
our deck and then he disappeared.
That was so weird. Dude, that was
scary.
NATHAN (Over the phone)
Wow, I think that you are going
crazy. Go get some sleep.
JON
I'll try.
He hangs up and just stands there staring at his peanut
butter and jelly sandwich.
INT. TEEN'S BEDROOM - NIGHT
Jon walks into the room and goes into his bed. Dissolve into
next shot.
DREAM
EXT. CAR-DAY
During the dream you can't hear anything just groans from
Jon. Jon walks toward a car. (Same car used in scene two.)
Mom is in the car. She says something. Jon flips out and
starts screaming.
INT. FUNREAL HOME-NIGHT
Show quick still of Jon kneeling at edge of a coffin.
EXT. SCHOOL-DAY
Jon and Nathan are behind a school. Jon hands Nathan money
and Nathan hands Jon a brown paper bag. Jon slides the top
of a beer bottle out of the bag.
END DREAM
Jon wakes up and looks at his clock. It is 2:43 AM.
EXT. HOUSE - DAY
Jon runs into the woods behind his house with books in his
hand.

JON (Stressed)
Great! I am going to be late!
Another stupid detention!
The Homeless Man is seen in the distance, but Jon doesn't
notice him.
HOMELESS MAN (Eerily)
Halloo!
JON (Scared)
Who was that? Anyone there?
HOMELESS MAN (Eerily)
Halloo!
JON
(Running)
Aaahhh! Get away from me you
creep!
Jon runs deeper into the woods while The Homeless Man stalks
towards where Jon came from.
EXT. SCHOOL - DAY
Jon runs up towards front door of school. Homeless Man is
there.
HOMELESS MAN (Eerily)
Hellooo!
JON
(Slows down to a
walk)
How could he get here before me?
Homeless Man approaches Jon.
JON
I took the quickest way here.
Homeless man is now a few feet away from Jon. Jon starts
backing up.
JON
What do you want from me?
HOMELESS MAN (Eerily)
Hellooo!

JON (Begging)
Please stay away from me!
Jon runs away towards a different entrance.
EXT. BEHIND A SCHOOL/ICE SKATING RINK - DAY
Jon, Nathan and Jenny are standing bye an ice skating rink
that is next to a school. Jon doesn't seem to be acting
normal.
JENNY
That math test was a killer.
Homeless Man appears out of nowhere. No one notices him
except for Jon.
HOMELESS MAN
Hellooo! Hellooo!
NATHAN
Yeah, Jon how do you think you
did?
JON (Interrupting)
Look!
JENNY
At what?
JON
That homeless guy!
NATHAN
What are you talking about?
Homeless man starts walking closer and Jon starts backing
up.
HOMELESS MAN (Eerily)
Hellooo! Hellooo!
Jon takes one of Jenny's books and throws it at Homeless
Man, but he disappears before the book hits him.
NATHAN
What is wrong with you man?
JON (Confused)
I don't know. You guys saw him,
right?

JENNY
What are you talking about?
JON
You mean you didn't see him?
NATHAN
No Jon, you are going crazy! Come
on Jenny, let's get out of here.
Jenny and Nathan start heading back towards the school. Jon
just sits down and puts his head into his lap.
INT. HOUSE FAMILY ROOM - NIGHT
Jon is sitting on the couch doing his homework. He looks
somewhat disturbed. He looks up from his homework and looks
out the window. Homeless Man is there.
JON
Oh my God!
He picks up his cell phone and starts dialing "911" and
starts creeping out of the room. Homeless Man doesn't move
and just stares at him.
HOMELESS MAN
(he repeats this
continuously while
Jon is walking
away)
Hellooo! Hellooo!
Jon hits the send button on the phone. He walks out of the
room and goes into bathroom and locks the door. The blinds
are open.
BATHROOM
JON
Hurry, pick up!
Jon looks out of the window and sees the homeless man.
DISPATCHER
Hello 911, what is your location?

JON
(he leaves the
bathroom)
I am at 108 Geneva Drive. There is
this guy stalking me and I am home
alone.
DISPATCHER
Ok, are all of the doors locked?
JON
Yes, I mean no. I can't stay here.
I am to scared! I need to go to my
neighbor's house!
Jon starts unlocking his door and heading outside.
DISPATCHER (sternly)
No! Please lock all of the doors
and stay in your house! What is
your name.
FRONTYARD
JON
Jon Rizzo.
Jon looks around to see if Homeless Man is there, he isn't.
A car starts coming down the road.
DISPATCHER
Excuse me?
Nathan and Jenny is into eh car. They get out and start
walking toward Jon.
JON (frustrated)
I said Jon Rizzo!
NATHAN
Hey Jon, who you on the phone
with?
Jon ignores him.
DISPATCHER
That's impossible! He just got ran
over by a car yesterday. I knew
that address sounded familiar.
JON
What are you talking about?

JENNY
Jon!
DISPATCHER (furies)
I think that you know what I am
taking about. This is not funny,
pretending to be a dead person. Do
you have any respect for anyone?
Dispatcher hangs up the phone.
JON
What are talking about! It is me!
NATHAN
What's going on?
JON
No, oh no! Oh my God! What is
happening?
Jon faints. Show a flashback of the same car that came
towards Jon in the second scene. In-between shots show the
homeless man. While all of this is going on you hear Nathan
and Jenny in the background talking about how they need
someone to call "911" and things along those lines. Then,
show the car hitting Jon.
BLACK OUT
