And finally Nwando a.k.a babyosisi, Yoruba men do not initiate divorce because more than half of them are great ones, and as such their religion entitles them to second or third wives. Why initiate divorce as a man, when you can easily marry a 2nd or 3rd wife, to keep you happy if the 1st one displeases you?

I beg no go that area at all.

Why does every debate involving non Igbo tribes, result in Igbo versus, (insert tribe here) eventually?. This is getting so tiring. Is the original poster Igbo? Are the Igbos the only tribe apart from Yoruba, or is it only the Igbo who tend to shun divorce, how about the rest?Huh?? I don't know why Igbo's have to be mentioned all the time to make a bloody point.

Noone knows the reason why these women are divorcing, so why make assumptions about them as people?

The expectation of being a wife is something which affects women of ALL tribes. If they choose to stay or go, its really noone elses business. After all they are the ones who said until death do us part, in sickness and health etc, if they are unlucky enough to actually have to prove those vowels, who are we to criticise them for staying or going?

If we stopped putting pressure on women to be married and have children so much, maybe they could take the time to chose more carefully, instead of succoming to peer pressure, which is what it often boils down to.

Make no mistake, inequality betwen sexes is rife in ALL tribes in Nigeria.

Infidelity and stubborness are the main causes of divorce in any tribe
