Lagos cannot be like Abuja. On second thoughts, with careful planning it can be done.

its impossible for lagos to be anything like abuja. the only hope for lagos is to concentrate on planning new satelite towns, . n maybe those areas could be compared to abuja

Even this wouldn't work. Lots of places would have to be broken down and rebuilt for lagos to be like abuja

(if it is possible)

The purpose of making Lagos like Abuja is to benefit the people of Lagos, right?  If you demolish their houses in an age where building is more expensive than ever, how does that benefit them?  Such things only benefit the mega-rich, many of whom are based in Abuja (political connections).

Well something needs to be done about Lagos, as it is the only people who actually enjoy that city are the rich anyway.

They need to rectify the decaying areas of Lagos, its called "regeneration" and the poorer parts of  Lagos need it badly. The poorer areas do need to be invested in and it may mean demolishing or displacing people, but many of these places should not be lived in as they are now anyway if the truth be told.

You can't really have your cake and eat it too I suppose.

Lagosians need an Abuja attitude.

It'll benefit the people as long as they are well compensated. This is how it is done all over the world.

It is too late planning Lagos to be like Abuja.
Lagos can never be like Abuja till Jesus comes.
