the supper eagles as a team has to be built arround a player and mikel is proving to be the player as ghana 2008 knocks.
it used to be arround okocha whose role was to recieve,ditribute and possibly the ball depending on the situation but okocha the magic legs is no longer in the team hence the search for a replacement.
looking at mikel in chelsea, he has been serving as the pivot on which the team rotates. he goes for the ball, all balls to him for the intelligent passes from the wonder boy.
many critics condemed his move to chelsea claiming he will not see the bench with the quality of players in the team but today, the reverse is the case.
the question here now is, will vogts and nigerian fans see mikel as an able player or not?
if it is not mikel then who will be there for us in ghana as we cannot afford another play as you like as was experienced in the days of eguavon.
