I have changed this ad from an auction to a fixed price format for clarity.Up for sale is a 2010 Toyota Camry. The car is very clean and has NEVER been used in Nigeria or involved in any kind of accident. It came direct from the USA and is already on the ground in Lagos. This car is in a class of it's own and there are not too many of them on Nigerian roads. I have 9 more pictures. If you will like to see them or make an offer, contact me at - BizzBooks@aol.comVIN: 4T4BF3EK4AR006950 Mileage: 15,554 Colour: Classic Silver Current Location: Lagos Price: 4.3M

@ Igbo Mafia, 3.2M cannot get a 2009 Camry. This is 2010, clean title, no accident. I have two 2009 Camrys. We can negotiate on those with your budget.

[color=#990000]I doubt if this is a 2010 model. The 2010 model has a navigation like face but the little i can see from here is a 2009 model. Better still show us more pics of the interior instead of deceiving nairalanders all becos you want to make a statement.

I bought the car and shipped it by myself after careful inspection. In fact I also have a 2009 Camry in Lagos, same colour as the 2010. Both pictures appear below. Pay attention to the front grills. Therein lies one of the fundamental differences between a 2009 and a 2010. Another difference can be seen from the reverse lights which in the 2010 appears in the middle. In the 2009, it is a little higher up. Again, compare the pictures.

But how come the mileage of a 2010 car is 15,554 just 2months into the year? I have been driving my current car for almost every day(to work, market, church etc) and at times long trips(Benin to Lagos and fro, Benin to Ibadan and fro, Benin to Warri and fro etc) for 2years now and I have used only 13,000+? Or is it possible for a 2010 car to be in use since 2008 or so?

@ Syenite, I have been driving my current car for almost every day(to work, market, church etc) and at times long trips(Benin to Lagos and fro, Benin to Ibadan and fro, Benin to Warri and fro etc) for 2years now and I have used only 13,000+? I believe your odometer is in kilometers. 1 kilometer = 0.62 miles. So 13000 kilometers multiplied by 0.62 miles = 8060 miles. With all this driving, you only have 8060 miles in 2 years. It may be that your odometer is broken. Post the VIN of your car, let's see what the mileage was before you bought it. Coming to your question, in the US, 2010 models came out as early as May/June of 2009. As we speak, in a few months, 2011 models will start coming out and we are still in 2010. Also Americans drive an average of 15,000 miles a year or more. To clarify this matter, post your car's VIN, let's see what the true mileage is.

Did you care to check whether your Odometer is in Miles? Some vehicles come with mileage in Kilometers, others in miles, and remember, 1 mile= 1.61 km.

@ Nezan, Did you care to check whether your Odometer is in Miles? Some vehicles come with mileage in Kilometers, others in miles, and remember, 1 mile= 1.61 km. If you do the calculation in miles or kilometers, 13,000 is still too low with all his driving. That's why I suspect his odometer is not working properly.

@ Syenite, It appears you drive a Honda Accord (Baby Boy) according to your statment in the Post below. Now how can a Baby Boy have 13,000 kilometers or miles. Please explain. My family is growing coupled with visits by family members, inlaws and family friends. There are times when I over-load my Honda accord( baby boy), http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=385879

@Poster, I did not say my odometer is currently reading 13000 miles. When I bought my baby boy 2yrs ago my odometer was reading 162,700miles it just crossed into 176,000miles. It is the difference that makes 13000+. It's not as if I travel to Lagos or Ibadan every day. I've travelled Benin to Lagos and fro once , then also Benin to Ibadan to Osogbo back to Ibadan down to Lagos and back to Benin. I've also visited with the car places like Warri 2ce, Agbo, Abraka, Asaba. Coupled with these I drive to work and other places. I can tell you that there's nothing wrong with my odometer. Not that I am trying to spoil market for you. I am only curious that a 2010 Car has that mileage.

syenite, no need to be curious because biz books already provided you answers above. in the usa, the average yearly milleage for cars is about 15,000 miles which translates to 24,140km. cars for the follwing year come out btw may/june of the year before so this car probably was bought by the owner at about that time and was driven up till early this year before being sold. the fact that you have 'travelled' all over nigeria and your odometer hasn't exceeded 13,000+ miles in two years doesn't count because there is no basis for comparison btw roads in usa and those in nigeria. in fact we don't have roads here so what are we talking about? there are people who buy cars here and in 5yrs they are struggling to cover 10,000 km all because the roads to drive them on simply do not exist!

@ George_D,
You made some very good points. One cannot compare the road network in Nigeria with the US. In the US, you regurlary see workers who live as far away as Delaware or Pennsylvania but travel to Washington, DC everyday to work. This can easily come up to 100 miles a day each way.
The same thing goes for New York where a good number of people commute to work from the states of New Jersey, Conneticut and Pennsylvania.
