This is happening to Nigerians in Nigeria, just because the north did not have its way. We have Lebanese, Indians, Pakistanis, other Arabs and Europeans who are Naturalized Nigerians by virtue of the fact that they have been here for long, and their life and properties are well secured by the security agents. meanwhile the so called Nigerians are being killed, brutalized and being denied of all they have worked for all their life, then by 2015, the so called Northern leaders who did not see anything bad in killing of youth corpers, killing of southerners, burning of churches, properties and mass exodus of people will tell us it is their turn to rule, we shall see. Thank God 2015 is very near |
Celebrities / Re: Is Wole Soyinka Truely One Of The Founding Fathers Of Cultism ? by nuzo(m): 10:11pm On Nov 23, 2011 |
PointB:
Non-existent officially. But in secret.
My take based on all the information supplied so far is that.
1. Wole Soyinka founded or was a founding member of National Association of Seadogs (NAS) aka Pyrates 2. Pyrate confraternity was created to fight social malaise in injustice using non 'conventional' means 3. Along the line, the confraternity meta-morphed into a dangerous cult 4. Ever since them, the Nobel Laurette has been trying to dissociate himself from (t)his monster
One other thing is clear, we cannot dissociate Wole Soyinka from Pyrate Confraternity which now operates as a secret cult. Some of the worst human affiliations are rooted in the basis of best intention. Wole Soyinka should admit his mistake and move on. He is human.

Thoroughly disappointing . Are you not the chap who wants to go to the house of Reps? No disrespect, but is this how you will reason if you ever get there ? I.e without recourse to fact yet eager to pander to herd mentality via giving in to the crudest of brainwashing?
You want to represent Nigeria so take me on, or anybody else for that matter, and show everyone the quality of your logical thinking, political knowledge and reasoning. Tell us precisely , and with facts and statistics, why Aregbesola , only 11 months in office, should be in your list of one of the worst Governors of all times. I throw this challenge to the entire forum and those who have mentioned Aregbesola . If you guys are not stone-cold bigots and herd mentality followers who have swallowed Beaf's lies , please show very valid reasons why Aregbesola makes your list yet there is no place for Oyinlola who has destroyed Osun totally over more than 7 years !!!
Show me and everyone else you have not just being brainwashed by Beaf's messages of outright lies. It is disheartening to see the standard of intelligence on this forum these day that will lead some to claim , for whatever motivation (bigotry mainly IMO), that a candidates who should be hailed as one of the best Governors in Nigeria is mentioned as one of the worst on conjectures alone.
I have pasted the article below several times yet folks will fail to read it , include a man who wants to be a Rep, only to be saying things that totally defy logic about a Governor who has been in office for 11 months yet has done far more than his PDP predeccesor did in 7 plus years. Where Oyinola plundered Osun, Aregbesola has now managed to save over 20 billion Naira to be used for infrastructural development. How many Governors think of saving money let alone announce that they have done so? Through proactive dredging work, Aregbesola prevented the flooding seen in many Nigerian State !!
This same man proactively bought Several APC's (armoured personnel carrier) and vans to combat crime when it should be the job of the FG!!!! Aregbesola has approved contracts to improve water provision appreciably from what Oyinlola was happy to persevere with !!! How about his much lauded OYES employment initiative and others now starting to gather steam and show real results? Aregbesola , in real terms and to real folks, has performed well to the extent that the World bank is now supporting the OYES scheme and Netherlands is partnering Osun over its Agricultural initiatives after they noted the seriousness of Aregbesola and the success of his well-thought out schemes. I could on !!!! Really tragic how Nigerians now prefer second hand opinions , even when it could be terribly misleading , than do their own homework. I guess this is why some lead , and are successful, while others follow blindly.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/10/aregbesola-in-osun-we%E2%80%99re-doing-what-nobody-else-has-done/
See massive essay and insults just to prove that Aregbesola should not be in my list of worst gominos. I have also become a bigot even when my kinsman tops the list? Before you rot away in your hatred, be reminded that Osun state is like my second home as I made invaluable friends during my service year there. Hence the interest in Osun affairs including politics. Unfortunately for you, the OP did not ask us to explain but to name the worst governor in the Nigerian history, of which I did. But you being the all knowing big bullying thug like your mentor Aregbeshola had jump on my crouch simply because you thought I've been brainwashed by Beaf of yesterday. Apart from the fact that I dont owe you or any gaddamn person any explanation, i think your long essay and insults show that you don't need the explanation in the first place. I still maintain my list except that I'm including Oyin ooo to it. |

kabukabu50:
People like you,who are caught up in political correctness who refuse to stand up for womens rights everywhere are letting all women down.
Seriously, the video tape clearly incriniates these perpetrators in this crime ??
What else is there to determine ??Why all of a sudden, nigerian men have once again shown themselves to be hesitant to allow females justice ??
Once again it is clearly seen that is the case in nigeria, that crimes against women play second fiddle The men will say two things
1)She was flirting around with the guys or 2)She was dressed promiscously.
Im dead sick of this hypocrisy that has taken hold in nigerian culture, we are better than this by far, this is not Afghanistan or Pakistan.
If you men won't stand up for your mothers, wives and daughters, who will???
Very wrong analysis my friend. In fact the reverse seem to be the case. I was chatting up a young lady from Uniport. . . . the young lady was just about the same age with the lady that was supposedly Molested in the video. Guess what her response was when I advocated for life imprisonment for the rapists? "No be she carry herself go there?" To the best of my knowledge, Nigerian women have contributed much more than their male counterpart in making womanhood a "joke" in this country. What are women doing about underage marriage. . . or is that not a more serious case of violation? What are women doing about circumcision? The list of how women have aided the menfolks to bastardize their self worth and turned them into objects of sex in Nigeria is staggering. |
Violent/Disgusting Non-Celebrity Crimes / Re: ABSU Case: Was It A violation Or Not? by nuzo(m): 1:06am On Sep 27, 2011 |
Kobojunkie:
@Moderator, I think a second eye needs to be focused on many of those on here who believe this is consensual, even with what the video shows. Is it possible to at least get these people, well maybe their records forwarded to the authorities so if they have ever been involved in such acts, they be investigated in some way, and at least face the music, if guilty. I do not see how anyone with a soul could excuse such degrading treatment of another human being.
I usually do not point at persons, but I suspect some of these young men were raised to believe that violation is OK, and ensuring all those around us who are in anyway involved in the perpetration of these crimes against humanity, are punished or made to face the music is a good way to start in eradicating this scourge.
ROFLOL . . . . yawa don gas for alj harem But seriously, its so hard to believe that anybody could debate that this barbaric act is not a violation. |
Politics / Re: If Buhari Had Won The April Polls by nuzo(m): 10:14pm On Aug 31, 2011 |
Now I see it clearly,
Nigeria has no hope, Nigeria is doomed.
If the "great' minds of Nairaland cannot read a simple post and discuss the content under the context and not the letter, then I am afraid that Nigeria is surely doomed.
Please, I want to plead with you all to go back to my original post.
This post has nothing to do with Buhari or Jonathan, they are only mentioned becuase they are symbols in this situation.
Ok. Let me try to make it in black and white what I meant in the post.
I am simply saying that Nigeria as a Nation has a problem of ethnic/reglious sentiments that beclouds senses of reasoning.
Eg: Soludo was anti North because he is South and Sanusi is anti South because he is North. To the North, MEND are terrorists but to the ND, MEND has a course. Now its Boko Haram, while the South is shouting "death" to all terrorists, the North is rather apologising to Boko Haram. The Igbo elders are swearing to "fight" if Massobians are harrassed without course, but to the North, Massobians should be fried.
What I mean is that the bombs will still go off irrespective of who is in charge: the only difference is the location where it will be going off. For those, talking about how Buhari will "wipe" out MEND or Boko Haram, you can only kill a man but not an idea. Boko Haram, Massob, MEND, etc are all ideas.
For example, I am Igbo and since I have been a child until now, I am still wishing to have Biafra. I never joined Massob, not intending to, but each new day, I see reasons why I should not belong to same country with somebody who will not have a second thought in killing me in the Name of God.
It does not matter who is in charge and what his intensions are. It must be interpreted with this ethnic/religiuos bias.
I don't know if this will help our discussion, but so far, I am ashamed at most of the posts becuase they are completely OP.
