Served in Jigawa state precisely Dutse . It was hell. Flies, dust, hoppers, scorpions, extreme heat, extreme cold (in d harmattan) and to cap it- an extremely underdeveloped sharia practising state; no alcohol except in police n army clubs, Infact no social lif,, u can't even get a good eatery to eat. Undisputably the worst 7 months of my life until I redeployed. Don't go dere.

Things are cheap..the muslims there are so friendly.. more than decades they have not recorded any violent btw muslims and christians. Honestly, don't choose Jigawa. If you have plans for your life after NYSC, flee choosing the state. Dusty...Hausa to the core....flies....abegi...itz not worth it. Plus 99% 1% Muslim-Christian ratio in favour of the former. Above all, its too far. You must get to Kano before you see anything recent...even bus back to your state!
