no it is not. she has two and is bringing out the two up. when she was teething d first set, she had rash at the back n neck only. no fever but only d head goes warm and she refuses to eat. but for this one, i saw d rashes on one side of the neck and d head was warm as usual. i gave gbomoro for a week and she was eating well. it was just last tuesday d temperature rose and it did not come down over nyt so i took her to d health center. we were given pcm, amoxil syrup, piriton, and vit c. i was also given coaterm but i di not use it. the malaria test was negative yet the doc gave her coatem. the last coatem i gave her is not up to 2 months. she ll be finishing d amoxil dosage this nyt.

how many months old is she? it may b teeething. u can mix calamine lotion with agnesia pwdr and rub all over the affected parts.

i hvnt been able to contribute on this thread like i would have love to. DD was teething (upper teeth) and had slight temp and all of a sudden, temperature got outta hand and did not go down. but she is a playful child and its hard to know she was sick. took her to the hosp and doc say to give coaterm. the last i gave was in July ending so i just ignored d coaterm and gave d other drugs-paracetamol, amoxil and vitamin c. na so this morning o, i saw rash-like stuffs all over my baby. fortunately, the temp. had gone down to almost normal. i called a nurse friend and she said its measles. i am like what the f**k. she said it will soon pass that since she has already taken immunisation @ nine months, it wont b serious. i just hope it ll pass soon. thank God she's handling it well. no temp, and playing around. just eating a little and i m giving her breast milk to help her. it is well with us o. motherhood is 'easy' IJN.
its quite strange to me that she can have measles. i thought it catches kids when they are older.

@jade i got sma follow-on for my baby yesterday. i just realised it was d fake one i used to buy for her b4 i switched to frisogold1. apart from the price, this milk dissolved well unlike the previous which did not.

its possible it has mange like @godloveme said. i ll suggest u get Amiraz ASAP and use it 1liter to 200liters of water. or rather put 1 capful in a small paint-bucket full of water. get a shoe brush and use it to brush the body. pls make sure u wear a mouth guard around its mouth so as not to lick d chemical cos it can be dangerous. then when its dry. take it to a vet immediately.

7kg at 10mths is not 2bad anyways dependin on d birth weight.Frisogold milk is vry vry good too.Its bn produced by nestle peak.Its not just milk dat makes kids add weight.Its timely feedin.Soya beans is good 4d pap.I started usin soyabeans frm 5mths wit honey in her pap so pls keep usin it cos its highly proteinous.I hope u added guinea corn&millet 2d corn u used in makin pap.It's good 4babies too&jero makes them add weight.U hav 2start tymin her feedin.Add a lot of beverage,soyabean&milk 2her pap&giv her tea 2drink afta meal;probably afta an hour of feed instead of water.I noticed dat beverage makes dem add weight.Even if u'r at work,cal&mak sure ur baby is fed at d appropriate tym.These ppl lookin afta our kids wud b watchin african magic&STV 2 on startimes&forget 2feed d kid so d 3hrly thng worked 4me.I even wake up in d middle of d nyt,go 2d rm,pick up my baby,feed her&also giv her tea even at this age cos 12hrs is 2long 2starve a child.My baby detest egg too so I sort 4other sources of protein.Hav u tried givin her bread&butter.B addin fish 2her beans.U can mash it.Ur baby wil lov it.Hav u tried givin her potato,yam,rice&d rest?Ur baby wil definately add weight.Feed her 3hrly.Try cerelac (giv d mixed fruit) or frisocream cereal (d ricebase not d wheat) for her then we'l c how it goes

she was 2.8 @birth. i do give her pap made with jero and oka baba +the milk and sometimes soya. i used to give frisogold rice but i needed to give mixed grain so i got nutriben. dont know if u heard of it before. it is from 6 months to 3 yrs. there's a 4grain and 8 grain. the 8 grain is with fruits but its the 4 grain cereal i give. its already added with milk.
as for beans yes i do give her cooked with carrots, fish, tomamtoes and onions. then i mash it when soft. she loves it. i just introduced amala and she took it well. she also takes semo too.
what kind of tea do i give her? ovaltine or milo? how do i give her coz she doesnt like anything apart from water in her sippy cup. not even milk. but she likes bread. i just feel i m not doing enough for her but i also iknow that her stature can be genetic. if she cant grow fat @ least she should be weighty.

as for me, i ll suggest u take ur baby 2 a Public Health center in ur area for vaccinantions. Reason is cos the vaccines r used up @ once hence nothing like carry over coz i understand they arnt meant to stay too long for a period of tym so it doesnt expire. Moreso, the nurses hands are very experienced.
And then from tym to tym, take him/her for check up/complains in a private hospital. Thatz what i do.

They were coming one after the other and I guesd it was bc of the teeth, I didnt go to the hospital oh cause he had takin much antibiotics since his birth so I gav him saint leaf water (dnt know how I got the boldness to do that!!!lol), and he was fine in two daz, dnt knw whether its the saint leaf or the emergance of the teeth.lol. It is not from the teeth erupting directly. It is from the drooling and the rubbing of the drool against the face thus causing irritation. The drool is cause the baby is feeling uncomfortable. The drool also causes the runny tummy.

its what i experienced with my daughter. she never drooled while teething and the rashes were not on her face but on her back mostly and a little at the front. i used so much to control it to no avail including calamine lotion but immediately d teeth cut thru d gums, the rashes disappeared within 48 hrs.

@maxiflexi is ryt, it did not look anything like normal heat rash.

i depends. @ least mine also had those rashes u talked of while teething. i did not even know the rashes was related to teethin until the teeth came out then the rashes just disappered.

I was coming from iyana-ipaja and was sandwiched between two ladies. The lady behind me probably was doing it intentionally, because the more i try to move forward away from her chest, the more she gets close pinning it behind my back. while she was at it, uncle below was raising its ugly head and slightly touching the lady in front. What saved me that day was that the bus stopped suddenly and everybody jerked against each other. she didn't notice what was going on.

Have you tried adult food? does she show some interest when adults eat? just thinking sha....Or Omogemi have you also thought in this line? hmmmm! no be joke oh!

yes o my sister. some children eat more of adult food than their cereal. i hv seen a little plump 9 month old baby abt the same age as my baby and guess what d mother says is her best food; EBA. these children can be funny at tims.

demmykay: Tanks omogemi, he is actually taking bosom milk well. I was given suitrox(azithromycin) for 3days and flygy. His poo is watery. I took him back to d clinic today nd was given ocefix(cefixime) to administer for 7days. Pray it soothes him. Once again tanks omogemi

he' ll b fyn. so long as he's taking the breast milk. its lyk this is ur 2nd baby coz i v seen ur posts in the early part of this thread. anyway God bless all our babies. also try cleaning ur breasts. u never know. ur sweat could also contribute. just keep an eye on him and observe his stool. he ll be very fyn.

just normal b complex syrup. U can get it @ d pharmacy. I ll suggest u give her 5ml 2ce a day. What u ll do is dis. When u wake up in d morning, breastfeed her. Let her have her fill. When she burps or after abt 10mins, give d b complex. Then go bath her. Dont offer breast again. Instead, go prepare her food. If she wants to sleep aftr d bath let her. But if she dsnt sleep, let her play. When she crys out for d breast again offer her d pap. She may not lyk d position u place her. Try another method. Let her sit in a chair. Or place her on ur lap sitting n sing rhyms for her or any song she likes . Offer her d food and see if she takes. If she dsnt take d pap leave her just dnt offer breast at dt moment. And if she takes a spoon or two, fyn, let her sleep with that. When she wakes u ll offer food again.
