Indeed there are offerings to Yhwh that involved the total destruction of the thing offered. It is Herem that is used in the Deuteronomy 13 passage.

Now if we look at. the Leviticus chapter 27:28 we find that the word Herem is used and we are also told that the Herem thing is 'most Holy to Yhwh'. This was not just a judicial execution. This was a ceremonial offering that involved utter destruction. It was done to appease yhwh.
