Please house, my mum has an interview waiver document submission coming up in few days. Can I go on behalf to submit at DHL or does she needs to be there in person?

Thank you

Please can anyone tell me what recent appointment dates they get to see/choose when applying for the US Visa interview waiver these days.
I want to reschedule my mum's appointment which she did not make in March.

Also, the DS160 form for the old appointment is now over 6months old. Do I need to fill a new form before asking for a new appointment date or how will that work. Can someone please guide me?

Thank you

Ok Thank you. I will do same for mum.
DO you know how long the VISA payment receipt is valid for before it expires if we don't book an appointment with it immediately?

Does anyone know please?

YoungMetrosG:

I missed the appointment but yesterday evening when I logged in to my dashboard, I saw that I could reschedule the appointment easily. Now went on to close the page without properly logging out and now my account has been frozen for 72 hours lol. So don’t make that mistake I made. Just wait, when her appointment date passes, go back in to the dashboard and you can reschedule easily

Good to know, so they have indeed started issuing the 5years Visa!

Beelaye:

Hubby and kids submitted 7th of February and it was like that for about 3 weeks. He got his back on 7th March and got 5 years. I submitted 14th feb and it’s been like that till now. Still don’t have mine back. So let’s just be patient and see.

How did it go? Did you make or miss your appointment? Please let us know
DId you write the embassy when they rescheduled your appointment to March 13?

YoungMetrosG:

Same thing just happened to me. My IW date was April 28 and I got an email today saying it’s now been brought forward to March 13th. That’s in 4 days. And my issue is my passport is currently at the Canada visa office for stamping of TRV. If I don’t get it back tomorrow, I can’t make this new IW appointment. So wrong how they just assume you have no set plans

my mum is now in same boat. She was rescheduled by the embassy to drop her documents in 10days and this is just impossible, so she is going to miss the date. Please does anyone know if indeed one can reschedule after 24 - 48 hrs of missing the appointment?

deeteeneey:
Has anyone missed his/her interview waiver appointment before? What happened afterwards?

Were you able to reschedule after 24 - 48 hrs or did you have to book an interview date?
Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Pinky(f): 2:35pm On Mar 10, 2023
oh wow! Thank you
please does anyone have the contact email for the embassy, so I can send them an email.

nuttycaptain:
I don't think you can change IW appointment date. That was what I was told by the customer service agents, when I called to try and change my date. I was told all I can do is wait for the appointment date, not show up/drop off my documents and then about 48 hours after the date I would be able to use the same receipt to book another appointment date.

Although, I got the same mail that a few people said they received today, informing me that my appointment date has been rescheduled to next week, approximately 1 month earlier than the date I initially chose.

Hello everyone,

Please I'd like to change my mum's interview waiver date for drop box. When i logged in to the account, I could not find a link to reschedule.
Can one change the date at all? Please could someone point me in the direction of how to?
I am also thinking, when I move the date forward, it must still be within the 4years expiry of the old Visa. Am I correct?

Thank you in anticipation of responses
Please has anyone been in my shoes. How do we change IW date if we cant make the earlier scheduled date pls

Hi Seunpinky,
Thanks for the response. Did you have to give them the results at various airports or what did you use 3 printouts for please
Thanks

seunpinky:
Get your test done a day before your departure. Make sure u get to the test centre early enough say 9am and your result would be mailed to you say 4pm same day. Ensure u print out 3 copies of the test result. Talking from my experience

Hello all,
please help with my questions below:

1. is it true that upon landing Canada, you have to apply for Social insurance number (SIN) online and it will take weeks to arrive? don't they issue it anymore at the airport upon landing?
2. if one has 1.5 years driving history on Nigeria Driver's license, does it mean one will not be able to use the FRSC driving history in Toronto so as to do G2 road test immediately after passing G1?
2. please if you have gotten FRSC diving history recently, could you please share the contact in Abuja and how long it took to receive the letter

Thank you!!!!

Thank you so much!
GodsGabby:

I think you should wait for a decision to be made.
This is because you can defer nd God being so kind your ppr drops.

You can also wait for a decision which can aid you withdraw tuition fee and it can also aid you to defer as well.

Please those starting online, someone made a post with screenshot that CANADA will not count that period of study online outside canada towards ur PGWP.

Please gurus clear out too.

Thank you so much for the advise

olasubomy:

I can totally relate. The waiting game is never easy at all because you have lots of plans on hold just waiting for a decision mail. Please see response in bold.

1. inform school visa is not ready and ask for admission deferral - Your friend can try to wait till 2 to 3 days to the due date for deferral, for instance, if your friend has till September 1st to make up her mind to defer, she can give it till August 28 or 29 then advise the school to effect deferral if the decision has still not yet come from IRCC so, I would say your friend keep discussions with her school open and let them know she would likely opt for a deferral, so they have your friend in mind, with that they are able to advise her on the latest date to get back to the school. Who knows, the PPR love letter can drop before then.
2. start the course online while waiting and hoping for approval from IRCC (is there a repercussion if this is done and the application gets denied) - This would depend on your friend and her decison to make, but it would be a risky gamble. It is better to have some positive assurance from immigration before committing yourself to enroll in classes. Some people take this gamble and end in their favour but it is a huge risk. The first risk is the person won't be able to defer admission anymore because they are already fully enrolled and secondly would not be able to get a refund on the tuition fee, which is a huge expense when you compare CAD to Naira

3. wait and do nothing and let September go by (what will happen to the admission at this point) = This also depends on the school's policy. Your friend would need to communicate with the international student office and immigration advisor of her school to advise her accordingly. Doing nothing is not an option.

Hi all,
Please I need your advise for my friend
Application for study permit was submitted May 13 and August 6 timeline of IRCC is now passed and she is yet to hear from them As classes start September 7, which of the following should be her next steps please
1. inform school visa is not ready and ask for admission deferral
2. start the course online while waiting and hoping for an approval from IRCC (is there a repercussion if this is done and application gets denied)
3. wait and do nothing and let September just go by (what will happen to the admission at this point)

Your kind advise is greatly appreciated!

I want to use British Airways. Called them to inquire if you need a PCR to depart Nigeria and they redirected me to Natip.ncdc

The info is not there
what you need to do is to check what the entry requirements are for the country you are heading to. It really isn't the airlines requesting a PCR test but the countries they are flying you to. If your destination requires a negative PCR test, then British Airways or any airline you intend to fly will be mandated to see the result before you board

Hope this helps

If you can drive to any of the drive in test centre the better for you. Just keep on refreshing the page.

Before flying to Nigeria, I did a test which I uploaded onto the Nigerian Port Health website. A QR code was generated. Mind you before the QR code is generated u need to pay 50400 Naira and also choose the date and laboratory where u want to do the test in Nigeria.
I know I wasn’t staying too long in Nigeria, I decided to do my test 2 days before am to leave Nigeria.
At the departure, no one asked u about the test, you are only asked about the UK public Health locator form which you are to fill before arriving in the UK.

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk?

Thanks for the detailed update @Divine88

Thank you very much for your reply to my enquiry. One more question please, did you do the test here in Nigeria? Since you only spent 6 nights. If yes, how did you go about it since the protocol stipulates 7 days before test should be carried out. If No, how did you navigate through immigration on returning to board flight back tp the UK.Thanks in anticipation of your reply may God almighty bless you abundantly
@Divine88, looking to get answers to the same questions as above. I will watch the thread. Thanks in advance

Has anyone tried booking a flight from Canada to Lagos? Even though Nigeria government says Lufthansa isn't allowed to fly in, during booking on Air Canada website, i keep getting flight options to be operated by Lufthansa. Has anyone come across this as it's all totally confusing.
