Corrupted NIV? Dunno but that is why the Holy Spirit is given to us! For when you can't make sense of what your Bible version says, just ask the Holy Spirit to explain!

Another version of the bible is now in the market. This time it paves way for gays and lesbians. This is what NIV could not give produce 100% but paves way for a stronger version that says it all. I'm a King James addict BUT it's not good to be King James ONLY. The word of God is made clearer in some many translation. KJV still retain some scriptural beauties but also confuses some verse and some preachers are aware of this confusion in KJV and they use it/them to manipulate the people of God.

The KJV bible is not the most accurate bible for your information, though it was the best we had at the time.

Stop this blind fanaticism, there are millions of bibles in other languages such as Chinese, Russian, Igbo, French etc, these are not KJV bibles.

The KJV also uses medieval Shakespearean English which is not applicable to the English we speak today.

People have to understand what they read , not just read for the sake of it.

Reading only a particular verse and trying to make something out of it could be confusing to some who have not read the whole chapter especially some lazy christians who do not study further after hearing from their pastors or leaders.

There are many good versions out there, CEB, ERV,NET etc, and they are 100 times better than your catholic bible.

I can understand you very well. Even the verse I gave you, (in its KJV context - reading the whole passage) is still confusing. What is my point? My point is, don't rule out NIV outrightly simply because of some verses. How about the verses that NIV made clearer than KJV? They all compliment each other. Like I said, I used to be KJV ONLY in the past and even opened some threads for KJV. Don't get me wrong. I'm still a fan of KJV and will always be but we need to break the monopoly of KJV ONLY.

Many translations bring out beauty of scriptures more than the KJV - New Living, Amplified, God's word, Holman, NIV etc. That is the purpose of many translations - to make some scriptural verse clearer. You will be surprised you might need NIV to make some verses clearer than KJV. Whatever translation makes your study clearer, use it and any of them that gives you a deeper meaning to your study, use it. That's the reason you often see me quote from different translation, not sticking to a favourite. Anyone that brings out a deeper meaning is what I present. They will all say same thing but some will present a deeper meaning than the other while some will lost the meaning of some verses.
