Hubby and I re-applied on the 15th of August, one week after our previous denial and just got our visas.

we used the same travel datesa dnd ocuments. Only difference was the seperate document explaining monies in our accounts and ties to home country.

Thanks Justwise & 3sha4lyf for the encouragement to re-apply.

You need to do a budget of the trip....basically drawing the cost of the trip to you....ticket, shopping in the UK (if you plan to do that) accommodation(if you will be hosted then your host should provide evidence of accommodation for you) transport within the UK(if your host will be taking you around then he/her should state that in the IV), list of places you tend to visit while in the UK.

Employment letter, salary account, leave letter and IV from the person inviting you.

If the cost of ticket alone will take up to 2 months of your salary then it will be a tough one.

Hello Everyone,

I have a pressing concern i'd need clarification on!

I want to apply for UK Family Visitor Visa for the first time and I have a job i earn about N200,000 monthly. I have a good Financial Statement the past few years. Some deposits were made from friends in my cooperative group into my other accounts summing up to about N300,000 of recent. But my Salary account bears close to that same amount. I am submitting my salary account statement to back my Finances.

I have intentions of transferring the money from my other accounts to my salary account online.

Please can someone advise accordingly, should i go ahead with the online transfer from my other account to my salary account? Since i don't use the account often and I'm not submitting any statement for my other accounts.

I intend applying soonest. Will this affect me in anyway?

Thanks.

Not a good idea at all, submit both account and leave your salary account the way its, making that transfer will give impression of money lodgement which is a red flag.

So, how about the other account money was paid in by my friends? Is it not the same money lodgement thing?

What do I do? Should i get a bank statement from those account and add to my other account?

Another Question. I have an Invitation from my sister who's married and ofcourse has a change of name! Who they be requesting for any evidence that she's my sister?

Thank you.

Ditto Justwise.
Include all accounts and as for the cooperative payments, you can jot that down on the additional info section of the form as the source of those funds.
Ass for your sister, you may/may not need to show extra proof that she's your sister. If for example, she has documents to show her (maiden) name which is same as ur surname, if i'm correct, she might wanna include it as a supporting document. Hope this helps

Explain the source of money in the other account...e.g cooperation contribution, mixing that money with your salary account will cause you a lot of headaches.
Apply for general visiting visa and state that you are visiting your sister, because your sister is married now it will be difficult for you to proof that you are related.
Your salary is not bad but let your budget be around 2 months salary....N400.00, if your sister is accommodating you then get tenancy agreement or mortgage paper as a proof.
Outline what you will be doing in the UK during your visit and remember to attach your employment and leave letter.

Hi, I've gone through the thread but I'm not clear on some things,

1. I did my MSc last year in the UK but my Visa Expired in May this Year, I returned february Long before it expired
2. I am a business person, I have an enterprise and 2 ltd where I'm a director registered with separate accounts
3. I dont pay myself a salary I just transfer to my personal account when I need money
4. I have extended family in the London though I would prefer staying in a hotel
5. I have an expired Schenghen Visa from Last year.
6. I have land I bought in Lagos and the documents would this and 5 above improve my chances?

I would like to go shopping and visiting/sightseeing this December - 2 or 3 weeks, I would like to know

1. Do I use a sponsor bank account (I have an aunt who I can use with a good account statement) or do I use my company account statement (very irregular)? Which is preferable? Do I send both?
2. Is showing my Hotel Booking or Getting an invitation letter from family in London preferable?
3. Would submitting my CAC documents improve my chance of approval?

Thanks in Advance.

You are a married adult with kids, but have poor financial situation, you are going to the UK as one of the delegates of eight people to attend a Church event, and your Cousin who is an external body is sponsoring your trip to attend a Church event that he is not part of, and yet, he is neither connected to the purpose nor is your trip going to be of any obvious benefit to him...:
You judge the situations taking these circumstances into consideration and tell me if you think it is reasonable for a visa officer to issue you a visa.
So, there you have your answer

Kindly pardon my lengthy post.

Recently I was searching for a software apprenticeship program as I basically have an obsession for computing and coupled with a burning desire for perfection of my software craft. Fortunately, while scouring the internet for a master to learn from, I found a company in the UK with an advert that explained my situation and offered a 3 year apprenticeship program.

Despite my averseness to living or even visiting the UK, I felt this was me the advert was referring to and decided to send the company an email. The company responded to my email and to them I possessed qualities they were looking for. I read stories and blogs of some folks that completed the program and how they transformed from not so cool developers to awesome software engineers.

However, it came to the issue of where am I currently? I formed them I was in Lagos Nigeria. They informed me that they had tried sponsoring a non-uk resident for visa once and it was a lengthy and complex process which given their size as an SME was a daunting process.

Is it possible for me to obtain a UK residence + work permit here in Nigeria so as to apply to this apprenticeship program? Also what requirements do I have to fulfill ? Thanks

To get that you would have to be offered a Tier2 visa by a Tier2 sponsor(comapny that has a tier2 sponsor license with UKBA).
Although I doubt apprenticeship programs fall under the jobs allowed
Check ukbA website for info on TIER 2 visas

Mr. Supervisor,
Why would he need to write a long irrelevant story if he can give a perfect answer with the "two words"?

Hello house,

Please i want to apply for a UK business visa, i have gone before but this time i did a change of name, my passport still reflects my old name but expires in April next year, all other documents also reflect my old name except my Salary account bank statement which reflects my new name. The question is do i get a new passport with the new name or do i just submit my personal statement along with my payslips which show the same name on my passport.

Thanks in advance
