it all depends on you.she came in when she was 6 months and also her body shape Neva looked like someone that is pregnant. Even wen she was 9 months, you would think she is just 6 months

there are two different doctors, one from UNT which cover the delivery and JPS doctor.UNT doctor is part of the OBGYN package you purchase but jps doctor is different. So if jps sees or access your child, you will pay.

For those asking if they need UK transit visa when flying BA to usa, you are exempted if you are travelling to usa, Canada and new zealand.

Pls check https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa/y/nigeria/transit/no

thanks this is very useful. I will print a copy in case anyone wants to tell me story grin

Shelly23,
I renewed my US visa by dropbox in June, and I did not submit any additional documents, except for the required ones (international passport, one passport photo, DS-160 confirmation page, and my dropbox letter). So you do not have to worry.

Hi,

needed to share this info because I have seen a lot if post about Craig list housing. A Nigerian was shot at the back few weeks back and will never walk again due to contact he made via Craig list and wanted to go get what he bought from the site.

For your accommodation and as a foreigner, stay away from Craig list or section 8 apartment houses. Section 8 is a subsidise hosing unit mostly black live there and come with their drug and gun issue.

Go to sites like apartment finders.com for housing and always ask if they allow section 8, it may be cheaper but not in any way safe.

Cheers and congrats to people that got their visa.

I and my wifey would be going march. can we connect?
walemuse:
Hi House,

Is anyone going to San Antonio, Texas? My wife is due in March and would be travelling to San Antonio via Houston next week. She would be staying with a family friend but we have made arrangement for an extended stay in case she does not like it with our friend. We have contacted the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, and they confirmed that the cost of vaginal delivery is $2650. We are in contact with one of the physician (Dr. Karen Allshup) and the cost of maternity service at her practice is $2200, therefore we would be spending less than $5000 exclusive of any tests that may be required.

Wishing y'all a great 2014.

I guess she was taking a risk. If she didnt declare her pregnancy at the border she could have been stamped in for few weeks and if that happens she will risk overstaying. A pregnant mama once claimed vacation at the POE but the mean CBP knew she was pregnant and stamped her in for few weeks. She did the trip twice, she had to travel again for her childbirth. The best approach in my view is to prepare well,be honest and declare your pregnancy at the point of entry.

Congrats on the successful visa interviews and POE stories. @ Princeade, its difficult to read the mind of these VO sometimes, my guess is she wasn't convinced on your home ties but it wont hurt if your wife reapplies alone.

@twizzie thanks a lot it so sad though am in el paso and the cost of VBAC all amounts to 8910usd and doctors fee alone is 6000 so it's not convenient for me again and if it falls I will have to do emergency which will attract additional 1125usd for hospital and 100usd for pediatrician

Wow that's a lot of dough. Is it too late to try mhis? I know some people had talked about doctors who do vac but I can't remember the details. What we are worried about is ur current state not good for travelling up and down America. Please ensure you consider all facts before making any rushed decisions. For your health and baby's too.

Honestly, these are things you should have carefully thought of before even leaving Nigeria! You should have done your research on hospitals that offer VBAC at an affordable rate before thinking of buying your plane ticket.

Anyways, as it is now, at 36weeks gone already, I will say, make the quickest move possible. MIHS offers VBAC. Check their website or better still, call them.
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by lizcom25: 12:49pm On Oct 09, 2014
@angel55: You should have settled this first in Nigeria and know the cost. What happened? I know of someone in this forum who would have loved to go to elpaso but changed to arizona because vbac was cheaper there. Please just take it easy and don't stress yourself more than you are now. God will help you for the best
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by angel55: 1:08pm On Oct 09, 2014
Yes thanks a lot I didn't really think about it this way. I just realised last month that once a CS the nxt will be called VBAC. I thought vaginal delivery anytime at all is vaginal delivery I will have to contact mihs this morning.
