Hi all, anybody here studying in university of strathclyde or in Glasgow, arrived here yesterday and got to say, it's cold and wet more than how I thought it would be. And I have not seen plenty black people and it's making me feel lonely.

It makes it better use today and sunday to get yourself together, prepare timetables, schedules etc

on monday make friends and join your student association. Your studies won't even allow you remember you are lonely.

My 24hrs is barely enough for me

and buy labara with 1000 min to nigeria plan should cost you 20 pounds

I just don't see myself committing £45 monthly for 2yrs on contract phone iphone6 or not. Even if you have loads of friends in the UK to be calling i don't see it as a good deal.

You just dash three money o grin

Even the iphone 6 is cheaper in other places. You should have made your research very well.

For other people, kindly use confused.com to compare plans before ordering

Contract is waste of money these days, neither will i waste my money buying new released smartphones again.

When iphone 4 came out i went for it then upgraded to 4s, then i decided to compare both to know the difference...there is nothing meaningfully difference between them

BBM, facebook and Viber allows you to make free calls if you want to, i only top up for the sake of internet connection when i'm not at home.

Best to buy a phone (cash payment) a couple of months after release and opt for a sim only contract (typically 12 months, but can be cancelled anytime, with no penalty imposed).
One could save as much as 30gbp a month on sim only deals, with mega bundles (unlimited calls, unlimited internet - no fair use policy attached and of course, unlimited sms - if anyone still uses sms).

Not necessary true oo.
When you add the sim free cost of the phone and sim deal, you mostly likely will be paying more than when you opt for a contract.
Also, the contract helps to spread the cost, which most people cannot afford to shell out at a go.

The mistake he made was getting a package that he really didn't need.

Case Study 1 (sim only)
Phone cost - 500gbp (after a couple of months) Iphone 6 plus
Sim only contract - 15gbp pcm

500+15*24 = 860 gbp

Case study 2 (with contract)
Phone -150 deposit (iphone 6 plus 128gb)
Contract - 56*24 pcm - 1344 + 150 = 1494 gbp

My summation.............. Subject to knife and fork dissection

You have a few math errors up there. Nevertheless, IPhone 6plus would never be 400 GBP.
Currently, Iphone 5s 16GB sim free costs 549GBP
The plan being offered with Iphone 6plus would not cost anything less than 20GBP, but then, 15GBP is considerable.

He signed a contract that would cost him 940 for the 2 years.
Considering that, 940 - (15*24) = 580

Therefore, my theory is still valid. It's cheaper for him with the contract

I changed it to 500 in the upper, but forgot to edit the lower (reason i am not an accountant)

In a couple of months, iphone 6 (all varaints), would flood the open market (ebay, gumtree, electrical shops) etc etc
Best to buy from shops you can return phone to, incase it gets blocked.

One other thing to be aware of is 1gb of data is not as much as it sounds and the cost of using above your alloted 1gb will be high. If not careful you can easily end up with monthly bills of £60ish

Gone are the days when unlimited minutes were a big deal. It's all about data now.
