i don't see anything diplomatic here. two countries are involved yes but one went against the laws of another. Independent countries make their own laws and defend their own territories. if nigeria is lawless and ppl can carry millions around, south africa is saying is against their laws. if you are a president, your powers are limited to ur country and not making any efforts to rule over another.
Zuma cannot sole-handedly release those funds to nigeria - never.
Zuma must consult with his cabinet and the house has the final say. the problem with nigeria and nigerians is, we think because we run a one man govt here, that is how it is all over the world.
i think this pdp led govt is suffering from shame as a result of south africa's exposure of their illegalities.
nigeria will soon calm down when they are tired of making noise. we have no friends because nobody trusts this govt. you keep lying to the whole world and u take them for fools.

Trash of the highest order.

Jacob Zuma wants 50% of the $15 million for seeing the money and Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is offering a paltry 10% to Zuma. Zuma is threatening to confiscate the jingles if Goodluck do not meet Zuma's terms. Do you pple think SA will be foolish to return the full amount? Never will it happen. This have been happening for years, the great Idi Amin of Ugaanda seized OBJ's loot of 2.8 billion being flown from Nigeria, abi una nor listen to Baba 70? What about Abacha's loot in Europe?

SOUTH AFRICA PRESS READY TO HELP
If the corrupt Nigeria government is not ready to release the names involved in this international disgrace, the South Africa Press is more than willing. This is therefore a call on civil societies and credible journalists to liase with the South Africa Press to put this corrupt, stinking government of Nigeria to shame

The NPA is an independent organisation, so Zuma cant get involved, if he tries so, he risk being charge with obstruction of justice or interfering with judiciary system. So nigerian government must talk to the NPA

Sadly, this placing the cart before the horse.
SA has done so much damage that it is irretrievable.

Nigerias cannot be taken for a ride.

The only recourse for saving face for Nigeria is to insist that: SA president himself publicly apologize for the scandal and immediate return the sum involved and that they have acted in error since they were previously informed of the deal.

Anything short of this is totally unacceptable and Nigeria should reciprocate by expelling their ambassadors. call off all deals with SA, ban all cars and import from SA.
Stop all crude oil sale and gas sale to SA, an remove SASOL interest in all Oil and Gas fields in Nigeria.

withdrawal of financial investment in SA.
Nationalise MTN and DSTV.

Then the joke they share with this and so many atrocities on Nigerians and Nigeria will fall flat on their face.

It is normal for us to want to use diplomatic means since it is our government that is involved, and also their choice not to want to do that... But I can assure you that if we decide to take enforcement actions against DSTV (re-scanning issues that have become persistent nowadays and other complaints) and/or MTN (dropped calls and other complaints), the South African government will want to get involved and preach diplomacy... We just dont know how to play our cards right, maybe cos it will entail a government body actually carrying out their functions...

My friend, every country has laws which must be respected by everyone. It will not be worthwhile if SA can decide to embark on illegal arms trade in Nigeria and expect nothing to be done with it. It is illegal in any country to launder such a huge cash of money irrespective of whether is a country to country trade or not. Nigeria is at fault and has to accept their fate because at first, the alleged launderers played dumb and couldn't declare cash when they were approached by authorities.

With regard to yellow fever saga, SA had all rights within its jurisdictions to demand for immunization cards from Nigeria where the outbrake was prevalent to ensure that their space is safe from ailment. Do you expect that SA should not protect her citizens from diseases, just only in the name of brotherhood. A brother who happens to be a Nigeria should have her citizens to be let to pass only because we are scared of her, nope!!
America today is doing the same to protect her citizens, by isolating themselves from Ebola congested west African countries, but nothing can be seen wrong.

SA, respects Nigeria's laws and wouldn't try to violate them, no matter what. Your hate to SA is material and meaningless and equally amount to suggesting that SA should not do her work whenever Nigeria bend or violate her(SA) laws.
