SIGA.......Please I need to know.
I have a friend that applied for study visa with red river college admission letter and his been granted but right now his gotten admission to his preferred school choice, lambton college and has gone ahead to make tuition payments.
Which one of them school's document does he need to present at the point of entry? Red river or lambton. Or any one... Does the visa indicate a particular school. Kindly advise

My own opinion is he should go to his preferred school since he has the admission letter ... Then at the port of entry he should tender the school he used in getting TRV because there is going to be a data check on the computer at the port of entry...and if what u tender is different from what is on there system hmmm I don't know what may happen. If person don comot that port of entry u fit do anything u like but if u are there, u gaz do wat is right. Though I never enter Canada before oo.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by newbie2014: 6:35am On Oct 30, 2014
Good morning. You shld use d info of d sch u used in getting d trv at poe then when u enter canny you can go and change sch. hope u have read d refund policy of d sch u used in getting visa. so u can know how to get ur money incase u have paid anything.

Hopefully, we will have more medicals today than that of yesterday

Yeah you did. I normally advice friends to be ready to apply to 3 or 4 schools just to be safe. And since you have a 2.1 (hopefully a strong one) 3 will be just fine.
You could check out schools like MUN, Ottawa, Manitoba, SFU, Dalhousie...if they have the course you'll prefer. From what I know these schools are not crazy expensive and still have good rankings.
All the best!
thks alot..am alreading lookn @ uni of manitoba. .would update you on how its goin if u dont mind....

Getting admission in Universities abroad is not automatic for 2-1 candidates, especially if you are applying to a very competitive program. There are other factors to consider like time of application (there is usually a planned limit for intakes and admission officers consider applicants on a first-come first-serve basis), prerequisite courses (there are certain courses you need to have passed with a C atleast, in your undergrad), statement of purpose (a convincing one will earn you points that will make up for lost ones) and even good results from an english proficiency test even though it's not a general requirement (again, this can also earn you points when the competition is really stiff)... Work experience in a related field/industry can also come in handy for some programs but I think it's mostly considered for applicants with low grades.

And yes, don't even put more than one egg in a basket... the more baskets, the better your chances (basic rule of probability wink)

All the best
thks for the advice....

Good Day House, I have been a silent follower of this thread. I have learnt a lot from pple's idea and how a one on one application has helped so many pple.

Please house, just want to confirm if there is AGE restriction for Advance Diploma course in canny. Am about to apply tru maple but was astonished when I heard about the AGE restriction, even dou some schools had made enquiry about never mentioned.

Should I just apply to those schools. Yur response and ideas welcome.

AGE limit 22yrs and I don pass this age.

you mean maples told you that the maximum year a person can go for advanced diploma is 22years? Nothing above that?
