@florencejo thanks for the reply. I will go to abuja next week if I don't hear anything from Teleperformance this week.

Please house does anyone have a customer contact number for Teleperformance? I have filled their feedback form twice with no reply.

Don't bother trying to contact them by their contact us service. They never reply. Really awful service if you ask me. Just go there.

That is not true, the policy was dropped last year before it was even implemented.

Good news for me. Just picked up my documents from Teleconference center in VI and I got my visa. 2 years family visit visa.

I was really doubtful that I was going to get it because of what I had been reading. I am unemployed, came back from getting a Law Degree and Masters in the UK last August, went to do my NYSC and just finished in November. I'm over 30 and being sponsored by an older brother. I was feeling so negative but voila, I just got the visa. I have no idea what they looked at. But I'm grateful. I can have a nice Christmas with my siblings.
Congratulations

The way forward is to do nothing because the whole arrangement smells fraud.

Nobody can attend visa interview on your behalf, you can't use local govt bank statement because that is silly to even think of, you don't work there, even if you do you still can't use it and its fraud.

Lastly be careful before you get 10 years ban from British embassy for submitting fraudulent application.

From what you have told us, whomever is your family friend sounds shady. No one can do an interview on your behalf. Submitting fraudulent documents will get you a 10 year ban so do not even try it. For the right procedure, go to the UKBA website and look at the process you need to take including documents you will need. Save yourself the embarrassment, goodname and heartache by following the correct procedures.

Just a question please. If someone has applied to come to the UK as a tourist and has booked a hotel in London,he is issued a visa but later changes his mind about staying in a hotel and decides to stay with family in Birmingham, that means he's going to travel through Birmingham.Does this pose a problem?

I ended up emailing UKVI and I got a response from them.

They said my application has been processed and a decision has been made. I didn't like when they also added don't book a ticket until you have got your visa, etc. That sure didn't sound encouraging to me lol.

I will wait for the Churchgate center to send me an email. I think the delay is coming from their end.
Can u plz help with UKVI email? It urgent, thankz.

First of all, that "family friend" is a 419 con man.
Now, the thing that you call "the only problem" is in fact the whole lot problem: when visa application is concern, there is no greater problem than not having money in your bank as a result of joblessness

If immigration officers at the port of entry detect the changes, you may have to explain why so: if your explanation is satisfying, it would be ok. But if they sense that you're trying to outsmart them, then you would be stopped and deported.
But even if you change your mind about your place of stay, it would be a big risk to cancel the hotel reservation which you declared during your visa application: immigration officers do check with hotels for verification

Hello, I'm new to nairaland. Just a quick question, I applied for a family visit visa to spend christmas with my sister who is a british citizen. I was refused. Now i want to re-apply. The question is, my other siblings and my mom also applied(we did not apply together) and they all got theirs. I did not mention it in my initial application that the entire family would be going to the uk for christmas, but now that i'm the only one that got refused, i want to know, can i attach my siblings and my mum's visa pages and their tickets? just to show that it is a family visit and i will be coming back?. When they asked me why i was traveling, i told them i want to spend Christmas with my family. Please i need an urgent reply! Thanks

Well, every application is treated in its own merit.
In the part of the application form that says, "is any one else traveling with you?" What was your answer?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by folashade1111: 10:37am On Dec 04, 2014
I said No. But it is actually no because we are all travelling at different dates because of our various work schedules . ie. i intend to travel 23rd, my sister 21st, my brother 20th.

Why were you refused? That's the first question.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by folashade1111: 11:04am On Dec 04, 2014
They said a certain amount of money entered my account and there was no proof of source, and that was the last transaction before i printed my statement. I have sorted that out now. I just don't want them to refuse me again so that is why i am thinking of attaching my siblings and mum's visa/ticket pages.

You have just committed a violation called MONEY LODGEMENT, this is an express ground for REFUSAL. You can not get a visa with such account unless you are able to give a satisfying evidence of the legitimate source of the money.

Anyway, it is worthwhile to declare that you are all together in this trip howbeit travelling on different days.
Regarding whether re-application takes longer, well, NO, it takes just as long as it takes to apply for a visa.
