Bro I don't think that you need me to tell you that what you are about to do is wrong and will earn you 10 years ban. The whole arrangement is wrong and you need to think carefully before you waste your time and money.

#ThinkLikeTheVisaOfficer @Raahym everything you've said shows you intend to run away. I can tell you the key denial points already:

1) Relationship to the inviting party
2) Financial circumstances
3) Ties back home
4) Travel history

I suggest you start work first, get a bit of income then treat yourself to a holiday.

Please could you give me details of this hotel as all hotels I have been trying to book via booking.com are quite pricey. Thanks

Try hotels.com also. If this doesn't help, Google bed & breakfast + "which area in London you want to stay"

I ended up emailing UKVI and I got a response from them.

They said my application has been processed and a decision has been made. I didn't like when they also added don't book a ticket until you have got your visa, etc. That sure didn't sound encouraging to me lol.

I will wait for the Churchgate center to send me an email. I think the delay is coming from their end.

All embassies encourage you not to purchase tickets before you receive your visa. The closest they'll need is just a reservation.

Hello house, I m a postgraduate student, I need to attend a conference in the UK, a cousin would be sponsoring me,
I I need the full details of the documents I'll need and the minimum balance that will be in my sponsors account.
Thanks

U.K requirements remain same:

However for a conference, your form would be business visitor.
Has the conference been paid for?
Is the conference related to what you currently do for a living?
You'll need a letter of introduction from your employer.
And other supporting docs.

Without a 'Pay Slip' the onus is on you to prove you actually work for the company (transactions from the Coy to your account).

Letter of Introduction is required from the company.

Bank statement required is 3 - 6 months (whichever would support your application).

Invitation letter is important, however make sure the inviting party is legally in the U.K. You'll also need the inviting partys' Utility bill, Data page.

Note: I usually advise applicants on Business trips to stick to that. Hotel accommodation, Conference documents, Pay slip, Introduction letter, bank statements 3 - 6mnths and other supporting docs.

From what I can see, it looks like you have both and invitation and a sponsor. The documents I believe you will need are as follows:

From the the person who is inviting you, an invitation letter from him or her, their bank statement (make sure it's healthy) which shows their income, their bio data page, proof that he/she is a resident of the UK and is entitled to be there (eg UK citizen or s/he has indefinite leave to remain.)

Regarding your sponsor, you will need a sponsorship letter, bank statement (which should be healthy showing a good income).

From you, your bank statement is needed, information about acomodation. You have to be employed with a good steady income so a letter from your employer will be needed in order to show that you have the intention of coming back once your visit/vacation comes to an end.

I'm sure I am missing a few other things but that is the gist of it all. I will suggest going to the UKBA website to get a list of all the documents that you need.

@theforce, you don't seem to understand my predicament and you have made 1 wrong judgement and other errors in response to my message. If i wanted to run away i would have done so the first time i had the opportunity with my whole family a six month multiple visa and subsequently have gone to a schengen territory and most recently i have another schengen with my family. So i presume this is enof travel experience and brother i do have my own business that's thriving but like every other businesses sometimes you dont have enof money sitting in your account. This is the basis of my question which justwise as answered correctly but you, what did you do? jumped to wrong conclusion and judged wrongly. Go back and read through my messages and justwise response then you will understand. There is invited person here in my case maybe you cant even read well i suppose.

Hello yall, AM BACK!
Again kudos to 3sha4lyf (my paddy), Just wise and the Ogbu himself VICJUSTICE....You all are wonderful and you made my uk travel application a successful one through your guidance.
Just for Remembrance sake, i am the medical doctor who was seeking quidance/advice on my application around the month of August and i visited this thread everyday for a month before applying, got my visa and travelled for my medical conference.

As God would have it, after returning from the uk for my two weeks visit, i got a SPONSORSHIP from related conference organisers to attend a bigger conference in Brazil last month, e neva tey i come back oooo (i don turn TOURIST)..hehe...ThankGod!

Now i want to rest for a little as i plan to vist the UK by Gods grace in july,2015 just for tourism. But enh, my 6months visa expires in february 2015. These are my questions i need clarifications on as regards my next move(visa renewal).

1. Do you advice i apply for a 2year visa? am scared about that o cos i visited the uk once. Or is it wise to apply for another 6months?
NOTE: my travel history is this (Nepal,2010 for conference, Ghana2014 for tourism, Uk oct 2014, Conference+tourism, Brazil 2014 (conference + tourism)

2. Or is it compulsory i go once more before it expires in february. will it increase my chances of a 2year visa renewal?

3. My employment status has changed, i was initially employed in a teaching hospital but my contract has terminated. I am working in a private NGO with smaller pay + i dont recieve payslips like the former? is this not a drawback? what can i do?

4. Considering my travel hx and all, will i stand a good chance with a 2year visa request?

Hi @justwise. I'm new on here and this is my 1st post. Been going through this thread n I can see u have been of great help to people, Kudos to u bro. My issue is I got married to a British citizen in early August in Nigeria. Being away from each other immediately after marriage is a bit difficult for us (he had to go back to uk for work) and we haven't reached the requirements for spouse visa so we decided to apply for a visitor visa so I can go have time with him, celebrate his 30th birthday amd new year with him n his family. I do not work but I do small Scale business where I buy and sell fabrics at home. I depend on my husband financially so he is going to be my sponsor. My husband sent me his 2 months payslip as well as his bank statement (unfortunately 1 month). I have mentioned in my application that I intend to apply for a spouse visa when I get back to Nigeria so I wouldn't wanna jeopardise my chances by over staying. I have all the necessary supporting documents including out wedding pictures and the rest but my worries is I dunno if they will give me a visa cos of I don't work plus don't have any family responsibilities which is ties with Nigeria. And then I said I will be there for 5 months....What are my chances pls?

Oh noo!! I wish you did not say that, 5 months? You are basically telling them that you are running away to stay with your hubby because you don't have a lot to do in Nigeria.

Like you correctly pointed out...your application will be judged based on your tie to Nigeria and the ability to afford the trip....at the moment you did not meet the requirement for both.

I totally understand your situation though, i have friends who found themselves in such situation, separated from their families because of UK tight spouse visa policies.
