Oh noo!! I wish you did not say that, 5 months? You are basically telling them that you are running away to stay with your hubby because you don't have a lot to do in Nigeria.

Like you correctly pointed out...your application will be judged based on your tie to Nigeria and the ability to afford the trip....at the moment you did not meet the requirement for both.

I totally understand your situation though, i have friends who found themselves in such situation, separated from their families because of UK tight spouse visa policies.

If the landlord pays the bills then his rent is bills inclusive and it will be stated on his tenancy agreement.

My husband sent me his 2 months payslip as well as his bank statement (unfortunately 1 month). I have mentioned in my application that I intend to apply for a spouse visa when I get back to Nigeria so I wouldn't wanna jeopardise my chances by over staying. I have all the necessary supporting documents including out wedding pictures and the rest but my worries is I dunno if they will give me a visa cos of I don't work plus don't have any family responsibilities which is ties with Nigeria. And then I said I will be there for 5 months....What are my chances pls?

This is a really tricky situation and I just think that it will work out if the ECO reviewing your application and interviewed believes that you will come back. The reason I say this is that I just applied for 2 years family visit visa and I got it. My brother was my sponsor, I am unemployed. I just finished my NYSC, I didn't submit my bank statement but submitted my brothers with his supporting letter. I came back from the UK last year after 5 years of study. The chances of me getting the visa was slim but as you have it, I got it last week. Also worthy to note that I was also interviewed (very pleasant) and I was truthful about everything. I think they can detect if you are genuine or not.

This was my first time applying for a 2 years visa. I've been to the UK about 10 times in The past BUT that was all before I turned 18. I'm 35 now. From 2008 to 2013, I was there studying. Came back last year.

You said he left for the UK immediately after your marriage: well, in the logic of a Visa Officer, that doesn't look like an example of a marriage that is credible or that is sustained, it looks more like one of convenience.
To be honest, it is hard to see how you can get a visa with just a mirriage certificate and pictures, but without reasonable physical togetherness. And also, your personal circumstances do not meet the requirements of a tourist visa: and the man that you are presenting as a sponsor does not have an acceptable bank statement nor does he meet the requirements in other regards.

Just for Remembrance sake, i am the medical doctor who was seeking guidance/advice on my application around the month of August and i visited this thread everyday for a month before applying, got my visa and travelled for my medical conference. I also visited Brazil a month later for another conference.

i plan to visit the UK by Gods grace in july,2015 just for tourism. But enh, my 6months visa expires in february 2015. These are my questions i need clarification on as regards my next move(visa renewal).

1. Do you advice i apply for a 2year visa? am scared about that o cos i visited the uk once. Or is it wise to apply for another 6months?
NOTE: my travel history is this (Nepal,2010 for conference, Ghana2014 for tourism, Uk oct 2014, Conference+tourism, Brazil 2014 (conference + tourism)

1) The 2 years entry clearance is not issued on the basis of sequence, but on necessity when considered a frequent traveller who is constantly in need of a visa.
2) Although, you were issued a 6 months multi-entry visa, but the number of times that you traveled to the UK is irrelevant, even if you didn't eventually make the trip.
3) If you're not up to one year in your new employment, then how can the visa officer be satisfied that it is an employment that is sustained?
And though, you do not necessarily need to provide payslips, but your bank statement is expected to display your earnings.
4) There is no harm in trying, but I don't think your circumstances as well as your travel history qualifies you for a long term visa.

Our company wants to sponsor its newly recruited workers to a training in UK but the problem is, as new employees, they have not started receiving salaries and so, they have no personal bank statement & payslips. The trip will be fully sponsored by our company & we are providing our company bank account statement, tax clearance & company registration documents. The question is, can we apply for UK visa for them as they don't have bank statement & payslips since they are new employees?

It has been answered over and over again. UK prefers a personal account, chances of getting a visa with corporate accounts are slim even for CEO/ s and/or MDs.

It really depend on many things...e.g your company's yearly turnover, cost of the training and the employee's salary structure.

Yeah we all concur!! But em @justwise, in my own case, oga @vicjustice suggests that travel history is irrelevant in my case!!

I jux confuse o! It's absurd to me that I went to UK once and wanna apply for a 2year visa next! So I need to know what the norm is! Do I go again in my multiple 6months? Or jux get ready my documents and prepare 4 2years renewal? Thanks
