After a keen observation of Buhari's antecedents, I formally bow to an unavoidable reality. I love my country and won't hesitate to support an honest man to lead us. Permit me to say these words, SAI BUHARI cool

Will you really support this man?
Take a look at his comments and think for yourself if he has really changed or if he has learnt to keep his unpopular desires to himself this time around while seeking the votes of the people

My dear, the ship called Nigeria is sinking can't you see? Just like the reasons given by some white people for voting Obama, I don't mind voting the devil himself to fix Nigeria's numerous problems now. Economically, I admit Buhari will not do fantastic except he picks a good team but kill corruption and I bet you, Nigeria's 50% problem will be solved. GEJ is a nice man but he has little or no will to fight corruption. Let Buhari reset the country and give room for a fresh beginning. Please put tribal sentiments aside, let's tell ourselves the truth for once. By the way, I am a core Igboman cool

I am neither Igbo nor northerner, but in today's world, the fear of Jihadists, is an indication of wisdom. It will be expensive to play into their hands. To let them win us not because they took up bows, guns or arrows, but because they seduced us into falling in love with them just so that they can go ahead with a mission they cherish so dearly (islamising Nigeria) and which the rest of us think is just too ridiculous for them to actually be desiring.

One of my biggest problems with Buhari is that it is the northern fanatics that support him and if he wins, I envision a frenzied extremist jubilatory reaction that will not stop immediately after elections, but that will translate into more acts of extremist misdemeanors as these fanatics may very well believe they are naturally supposed to take their victory further.

In the first place, on account of Buhari's previous irresponsible comments, they will already view his victory if he wins, in Jihadist light

God bless you for you objectivity and maturity.

I am a core Yoruba christian and Buhari has my vote any day even if he joins PDP.

The cancer called corruption that has turned 170 million Nigerians into spectators whilst a tiny minority feed fat has to be tackled head on and you can not fight corruption if you yourself are corrupt hence Buhari is the messiah we need at the moment.

I have always supported the less dangerous option in Nigerian presidential politics. I will support GEJ for the same reason I supported him the last time: I am afraid of the rest.
The consequences of being eventually wrong about choosing Buhari are just too terrible to bear.
what if this retired general is not the same person who he was back in his military days? what are we going to do? We would have been made serious fools of.

Personally, I am not as disappointed with GEJ as some others are. I never thought he was wonderful. I just was afraid of the consequences of getting the others in

Also, if the APC pitched Fashola against GEJ, it would be had not to vote Fashola even for me and several million more current GEJ supporters. I don't know why the APC doesn't place as much value as they should on Fashola as a tool in their political arsenal

Is this really your problem with Bugari or your are just hiding your islamaphobia behind a broom stick? May I ask how come this extremists did not hold sway when GMB was the Head of Supreme Military Council? He had absolute power and there was no senate to checkmate him. He even had a tougher muslim as his deputy in person od Idiagbon. The No other head of state has had that privilege! Surely, there was nothing (and no one) that could have prevented him if he wanted to promote extremism.

Fast forward to present day, we have not only the senate but also the house of rep with an even balance of both dominant faiths. Infact the senate president and his vise are both christians and the deputy speaker is also a christian. How on earth do you (and others with this false thinking) think anyone can even attempt to islamise or christianise this country.

Again if he didn't even think of it in 1983 when had all the powers and all the stage was set for him, is it now that there is check and balance in the form of legislature that he will? I don't see how anyone can believe this except those who are trying to hide their phobia for islam/north OR those that prefers a corruption is not stealing / america will know clueless fisherman style government.

For me unfortunately I have to vote again in 2015 on the basis of 2-point agenda as I did in 2011. I thought by 2015 we would have moved beyond the 2-point agenda and really start voting toward true development and advancement. My 2-point agenda has not changed - Stamp-out insurgency and reduce corruption. Nothing can be achieved in any nation with these two plagues. And these are the hallmark of GEJ administration. Buhari may not have the magic wand to transform our economy (this government has not transformed it anyway) but with low corruption level and peace in the country, the next administration can build from there.

bro, get ur head out of the skies. this idea of islamization is just a mere rhetoric and a ploy to discredit the poor man. if buhari were so desperate to islamize nigeria, he would have adopted more sinister means by jumping from pdp to can and so on. if he wanted an islamic state he would have camped with bh and done what shekau is doing now. not through a democracy which shekau abhors.

if he wanted to islamize the country, he would have done that when he was HOS, when he had absolute power, when he had the military but he didn't.

if he could islamize the country, how do u think he will do that now with the level of political awareness and public sentiment? even considering the people. he has aligned with.

do you, as an enlightened and educated person sincerely believe. that a single man can compel you to become a muslim? do u believe you are that weak to be cowed by a single individual?

for you to know, in this era, the best possible way of the so called islamization is what bh and isis are doing which I do not subscribe to.

finally, if you wont vote in buhari, it is alright, but it shouldn't be because of the so called islamization because it is FALSE. it is a serious deception in oneself and an injustice to the man to assert that he wants to islamize the country. nobody can islamize nigeria, we can only create an atmosphere where we can tolerate one another.
