The same way City won their games with Navas and Milner when Silva was injured is the same way we would win when Hazard is injured. The same way Schurrle changed the game against PSG when you were crying doom when Hazard got injured.

Every top team in the Prem has one World Class winger only. It's not fundamental that we should be any different. We've got other pressing priorities.

There are many ways of winning games aside Hazard dribbles. I'm still wondering how Fergie was winning league consistently with Young and Valencia.

I dealt with this earlier. We are on the same page accepting that shoring up the central midfield was a huge decision. I made a public declaration stating I am now in the camp calling for a new midfield.

I also stated earlier that we both agree that Oscar, Ramires and Mikel need upgrades. So I don't disagree that this was fundamental.

I also believe at the same time that fortifying the wings in depth is as important as the central midfield.

It's not as easy as saying City won without Silva, so we can without Hazard. Milner and Navas have 6 and 5 assists respectively. Milner especially who achieved that in only 998 mins. Schurrle has 0 assists in 428.

City have strength in depth on the wings with folks who come in and provide 11 assists combined when Silva is not playing. Our back up wingers in Andre and Salah have 0 assists. Our other first choice winger in Willian has played only 66 minutes less than Navas but only has 1 assist. See the numbers below.

This is why my point is valid. Unless we go out in the window and buy a central midfielder who can deputise on the wings, If Hazard gets injured, we are in deep 5hit. This is why we need to buy quality wingers as much as we do CMs.

Still a big gamble. I saw his recent games during the WC. He needs to work on his decision making and shooting. Tbh I could make use of Piazon's creativity on a very good day.

Willian was quite on his grind when we shelled out 30m for him. He was putting men to the sword both in the Ukrainian league and Europe.

£25m doesn't in anyway match Shaqiri's current form, unless we're paying for the dazzling skills he was able to put up years back at Basel

There are way pragmatic calls to make with regards to signing a new winger, shelling out 25m for Shaqiri isn't just one of them.
