Simple mistakes made by plantain farmers

1. If you did not get your source of your suckers right, then you are on a long thing.

I have stated with pictures on this thread the kind of plantain suckers to use to have a uniform harvest of plantain fruits.
Losses are made in plantain business because wrong suckers are used for production which after about 10months result into ununiformity in plantain.

For uniform fruiting use the right suckers.

2015 is another opportunity to do something differently from how you did it in 2014 if the result you got by doing it that way in 2014 is not worthwhile.

If you have done it differently, you would have ended up with a different result.

See agriculture and do it differently and good result awaits you.
think agricbusiness

stay connected as i will be unveiling different opportunities in agriculture with different approach on how to make them profitable.

The uprooted suckers cannot be used for plantain.
Culture tissue suckers (1st picture) are the best.

Disadvantages of using uprooted suckers
Non-uniformity in the growth of plantain and non-uniformity in fruiting
Transfer of nematodes
Plantain susceptible to winds and diseases etc.

The kind of suckers you use will determine the whether you are going to make profit or not.

Without the use of good suckers, forget about profit.
Shine your eye before purchasing your suckers.

Stay connected as i bring you another farm business tips to start making profit in your plantain farm.

good day sir.

Am also a staunch follower of this thread.

Have a few questions though, if you don't mind.

I have a plot of land in warri delta state which i intend to use for plantain farming.

Please i need to know, how many plantain seedlings can i plant there and what is/are the cost implication(s).

Also i intend to combine it with snail farming, do you think its a good idea or do i let go off one for the other....

mercii.
