I usually buys Palm-oil from Oja-Odan market regularly. Of recent the prices are going on the high side and the traders are saying it's due to the depreciation of the Naira. I have never cross to Benin Rep. before. @OP, are you privy to any lucrative business or product in Cotonue that is good for the Nigerian market at the moment. Pls share.

getting things cheap? maybe in good old days, u need to see d how far people go to be able to get these goods here and what they go thru in getting them 2 lagos and beyond.
4 instance a bag of rice here cost #7100. u cross it to nigeria with #250. then from idiroko to sango ota,u tranport it with 1300 per bag. couple with d risk involve owning 2 seizure by customs.
d cheapest carton of chicken here cost 12500cfa like #4600 in naira, a carton of turkey cost 15500cfa,4rm here to sango,u pay 850naira(tranport & crossers).
if u come 2 the mkt with 500k,hardly would u buy 100cartons in it,so would u say they r cheap again?
exchange rate today is 357.5 to cfa.

@ eni orisha, I am interested in buying and selling of jewellries. Are they real gold that are measured in karrats and sold using scale? You adviced anyone that is interested in this kind of biz to start with little cash. If I may ask, what little amount can I use to start? What about the marketing aspect? How can I sell them off fast? Who are the targetted buyers I can supply and get my proceed/cash immediatly? Thanks

To those who r interested in jewelries business, if ur motive to going into jewelries transaction is to preserve cash, then u could choose d hausas. If u really want to trade in it ,then it should be fashion ones of semi precious ones with better artificial ones to start with. And moreover,it depends on sociable u are,ur connections.ur target mkt could be students,offices/ govt secretariat, etc.
u can start with as low as 20,000 naira.

I will advise you to forget about there jewelries coz they don't sell real gold. If you really want to go into jewelry fully try kano.
As per wears and shoes, u go buy tire for there.
