Following:
good morning to everyone infirst house! schooling in an EU country is in my mind especially Germany. but what is the possibility of getting a visa for self sponsored individual with up to #5million naira and below 23 for a bsc program. I can't get any info on successful self sponsored visa acceptance

My tip for you,you can study at a German university but you must first attend their Studienkolleg for 2 semesters cos SSCE results won't give you a direct admission and after completing your Studienkolleg, you can study in any university in Germany.

Do the following: Enroll to Goethe Institut, learn german, look for a non governmental organizations and volunteer their, like red cross.
You might wonder ,why be a volunteer?
it's a plus point, when requesting for Any visa.
No country want a person, who can't contribute to the community they live in.
I did it,it worked for me,so do the same.
reply here for more info,no pm please, lets keep our info public

You are so on point bro, but this studienkollege still get me skeptical.
we have seen countless number of rejection all because of studienkollege.

Anyway, what works for you may not work for every body.

Lets hope this new trick works

I took my SSCE result and Goethe zertifikat deutsch, went to the Italian embassy here in Italy, made copies of it and it was certified for free.
I searched for Studienkollegs, see if they are under uni assist or not and applied.
Weeks later, got an invitation to write the entrance exam and passed the exam.
To all, you can do a Bsc undergraduate program in Germany with SSCE but you must attend studienkolleg and do a final exam after 2 semester before starting the Uni or polytechnic, language of teaching is 100% German.

German student interview questions are the same. I was asked exactly all the questions thrown at Eke and co. Even my 2nd interview I had the same questions thrown at me. So there's nothing to panic about. Follow Eke's guide and u'll be successful.
dolpaz:

Hello Dencotech,

Can you simply narrate the ordeal that went down at the embassy for others to learn from?
Eke, and some other fellow have been doing same.
Probably some questions that was asked, where you goofed, and a probable solution

Thanks and have a blessed day]

What was the reason given for your rejection last year?
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by hollaytan: 9:46pm On Jan 26, 2015
I was rejected today in my application at FUAS reason being that I don't have congeneric knowledge of engineering for studying biotechnology and processing engineering as I studied microbiology in my undergraduate. This evening I got another mail from Tubigen university asking me the following questions. 1. If my 4.12gp is on a 5 or 6 point grading. 2. My class rank among the fellow graduate with the gp of 4.12. 3. How many days of work do I have with which biochemical technique. Pls house how can I best answer the question, need ur help ASAP
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by hilarybanks: 10:49pm On Jan 26, 2015
they said dat i cld not meet up with d enrolment deadline of the sch and the sch wasnt willing to give me further enrolment extension period. Hence they said that I will be unable to begin my studies well on time.

But you will have to learn German language to atleast B1-B2 level as one of the major criteria. Extract from one of the studentkolleg page in Berlin. "The Studienkolleg lessons begin in September.
With your application you have to send in an
adequate school leaving certificate as well as a proof
of German skills at the minimum level of Mittelstufe 2
(equivalent: DSH-1, TestDaF level 3, successfully
completed B2 or B2.2-course of the CEF, participation
in C1-course of the CEF). If you fulfil the
requirements, you will be invited to take an Entry Test
which is held in Berlin."

Your SSCE can't guarantee you admission into German universities but Nigeria 100L transcripts. It seems Eke made mention of something like getting admission with SSCE in one of his past posts. You can contact him for more clarification. While you are doing that, look for plan B. Register for JAMB, try and score 180 above; with that score, you will get admission into atleast a university. It can be University of Education or private university provided you have the time to stay in campus for the duration of one year. If that one is not feasible, you can also try NOUN which will be your plan C. Going to NOUN, you don't need JAMB or have to know any important personality before you gained admission provided you have your O'level result completed. Pick the one that is suitable for time table, then we can move on from there. Other ogas can also add or remove. Best of luck. Shalom
with o level u can still attend uni in deutschland buh through studienkolleg.learn german upto b1 level, open a block account and deposit 8k there, and then go 4 interview......abeg if I wrong make una correct me ooo

@hilarybanks
kindly check the student checklist on the embassy's website for the recent email address. the above email is no longer in use, i tried using it to book an appointment late last year but the mail didnt deliver until i checked the website and i found rk-visa105@lago.diplo.de which was what i used, so i think the embassy changes the email at interval..

No you are not. But getting to level B1 or B2 as the case may be will cost you almost a year too and can be cumbersome to someone that is not living in Lagos. Yet your admission is not certain until you get the actual pass mark at end of the 2nd semester. Remember the mode of teach and writing exams is German. I didn't mention studentkolleg because I think that may or should be the last option for him.

No he can't. He must be living in Germany and earning certain amount of money per month

Geothe in Germany?

Is it intensive (at least 18-20 hours in a week from Mondays to Friday)?

Do you plan to transit into a Uni with the certificate?

The period is rather too short if its not a prestudy into a uni or its alternative.

9-12 months is rather more realistic and a much more better proof of your true intentions.

Further still, what level of proficiency have you attained in the Language? If you are starting from scratch, convincing the embassy will be a herculean task, moreover, there is a Geothe institute in Lagos, closer and more convenient in the embassy's opinion.

About extending your stay, you can only comfortably do that if you apply for student visa with your language school admission and not Language visa. (which means you must have had an admission into a uni in sight at least just after you are through with your language course)

You can only legally work during hols if you are a language student and not during school and with only 2 months, when will you have an holiday?

I hope you get more informed opinion.

That's my 2 cowries.

Errm if your father is Dutch by ancestry or naturalisation, he has right to claim citizenship for you (That is if you are not) and as an EU citizen i do not think you are required to show letter of sponsorship. Unless there is something i am missing here.

Hello House,

I guess i might be the first to give good news on the part two of this thread. I got mail from the embassy about three weeks ago to come with my passport and three month health insurance, even before i funded my account which was quite surprising. I still funded anyway.

I picked up my visa this week. Germany here I come, that first class grade is mine, it's high time!!!

Thanks to all who helped my journey especially Kelly4top, Eke40seven, Damsamty16 and all others too numerous to mention. God bless you!

Will definitely keep in touch
