Regretfully, i didn't take any picture in Riga, i arrived the capital city at night and left (Eastword) the next day at noon, by then, it didn't even occur to me to take photos, the idea only came to me after i saw some interesting things and Lifestyles in Latvia.
I'll take photos of some things in Riga on my way out of Latvia

did you say -10 degree Celsius? Jeez! I cant even imagine it. Peeps could freeze and die just by stepping outta the door.

No, Google search these towns "Oymyakon and Yakutsk" located in Russia. The town once recorded -67.7º C (-90ºF) in February, 1933. These days their temperature is over -20º or -30º C sometimes and people are living there, some places are extremely freezing on earth year round like Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland, Alaska, Norway, and so with frozen lakes/pools that the ice sheet will be thick enough to hold cars or people to ice skate without breaking.

It is even -18 °C today: i had personally experienced -38 before in 2005.
Yes, you're right, a person without the appropriate winter clothing and accessories could be killed within 1 hour of exposure in such severe biting temperature, and a person with appropriate protective gears could still get killed if he sleeps outside overnight. There are the amount of time that are reasonable to stay outdoors (without needing to get some heat to recharge your body).
Understand that winter jacket and other winter accessories do not heat up your body, they only prevent your body from rapid heat loss. Now, during winter, the only heat that you get while outdoors is the heat that your own body generates, and like a rechargeable battery, it gets to the point when the source of heat is running out, and if you don't get heat from other sources to recharge your body, you may get to a point of hypothermia which is a deadly condition

By the way, it is important to make it clear to those in American continents that we are talking about Celsius (Centigrade =℃) as applied in Europe as well as in Nigeria where Celsius is the metric measurement, compared to Fahrenheit (℉) which is the standard scale used to measure temperature in the United States etc.
The difference between Celsius (or Centigrade ℃) is, in Centigrade the freezing point of water is O Degree (= 0°C), and the boiling point is 100 Degree (= 100°C). Where as, in Fahrenheit the freezing point is 32 Degree (= 32°F), and the boiling point is 212 Degree (= 212°F).

As a Nigerian in Nigeria, you should have no problem knowing what i mean by -18°C, but for those of you in the Americas who are familiar with Fahrenheit, Minus 18 Degree Centigrade would be Negative 0.4 Degree Fahrenheit (or -0.4°F).

Are you suggesting that human can survive outside overnight in such weather?
Well, GoldCircle was talking about sleeping outdoors, it is not at all the same as living staying indoors. No human being can survive outdoors in such conditions

No i never said that sir, he said one could freeze just by "stepping outside" meaning the person will freeze to death in just a second, or immediately he steps outdoor, and am trying to say that freezing is gonna take some minutes. Also said that there are some places that are extremely colder/freezing and people still survive with proper gears outside. Sure, nobody can stand outdoor for 2hrs naked under -1º C .

Well, by "sleeping outside" i suppose he meant sleeping outside (outdoor), not laying outside for "just a minute"

I am actually back in Ireland, it is unfortunate that I couldn't take photos in Riga as we arrived the city late on the night that we were to depart Latvia, hence we had to race to the airport with no time to spare for photo.
Riga airport is considerably the smallest airport that I've seen, and yet remarkably, it is the one and only airport in the whole of Latvia.
Here are some of the photos of the crowded boarding gates: they were so crowded that even the stairs were occupied by people waiting to get on board: yet noticeably, despite the crowd, I still happened to be the only person of colour around.

Did they charge you fees on departure?, I am still keeping the receipt of mine in case there is a refund in future like Ryanair is suggesting.

Ryanair security fee you mean?
Well, that is not due to Ryanair's policy (in fact, the policy does not apply in other airports, I suppose it is a regulation applied by the Riga airport authority on Ryanair to cover some costs.
By the way, it is only 7 euros, and I don't think the receipt is worth holding on to.

Yeah, I know the fee is collected by the airport authority and since I will be frequenting the city subsequently, I wont mind the reimburse if it ever comes
