Hello fellow nairalanders, i need to know if anyone has gone to kenya on arrival before? i went to their embassy in abuja and was told to get it on arrival and i dont want to waste money for ticket and bounced back at the airport in nairobi. i am a first timer. awaiting replies

you have to fly with only kenyan airways to be given a visa into kenya. ticket for round trip is N160,000 and you will hold about $1000 to prove you can take care of yourself. though you might not spend it.

Wrong information. You can fly with any airline.

I've flown into JKIA more than twice and got visa on
arrival. None of which I flew with KA. So you just
get yourself at the airport and be ready to defend
yourself - its quite easy though.

Speaking of the BTA, life's risky and you're not supposed
to be carrying money up and down. Just change $200 cash
and keep the rest in your card.

Anyone that doubts you should provide atm so you can
confirm your balance

Disvirgin or not, it won't help your visa application.

You need to access yourself well and check if you merit
the visa you are applying for!

Mind you, I didn't have a visa before leaving MMIA and it was issued to me upon arrival at JKIA after explaining my mission there, showing my return ticket, hotel reservation and paying the $50visa fee. I. addition, I had $400 BTA.

I really can't say, but whatever you choose to say, make sure you have proof in writing. In my case, I went for a 2weeks fellowship with a Technology company in Nairobi and I printed along with me the email correspondence between me and the head of IT of my host company.

Although, the visa issuing officer was reluctant to accept the email correspondence in lieu of an Official invitation letter, all I needed to do was to convince him of MUST return to my sponsoring company. And after all the convincing, he issued me a 3months visa.

When you land in JKIA, filling of forms can be done there.

Bros plz help a brutha, I ve travelled to quite a number of european countries and the USA, but I currently need a visa to kenya but this visa on arrival ish is new to me, I have my etickets, My passport, please what else do I need so as to ensure a smooth transit from Nigeria, and what do I need to present at the Kenyan embassy so as to obtain a visa?
