'It was the best of times, it was the worst of times....'- Tale of two cities. Love that piece from Dickens.

Macbeth and Julius Caesar tops my list of Shakespeare best tragedy works.

'By the pricking of my thumb, something wicked this way comes'- Macbeth by shakespeare

'There is a tide in the affairs of men which, taken at the floud, leads on to fortune omitted, all the voyage of their lives are bound in shallows and in miseries'-Julius Caesar by Shakespeare

'Et tu Brute'(Even you Brutus). Julius Caesar By Shakespeare.

Those are my best Shakespeare quotes in those listed works of his. You gotta just give it to the man when it comes to literary depth.

My best Shakespearean quote is ''There is no art to find the mind's construction on the face''...Very deep meaning!

I have read more than a thousand novels/books...novels by Nora Robert, Dan Brown, Hardley Chase, Stuart Woods, Shakespeare, Ernest Hermingway, Chinua Achebe, Ben Carson, Ngugi Wa Thiongo etc... Super Romance Novels, Suspense, Mills and Boom, Historicals, Crime/Detecting etc... I believe the book i have read has helped me come a long way. Invest your leisure time in book-reading, it pays. On a good day will list books that i have read for the benefit of all

There was this book I read when I was small by I think Ben Okri 'The Famished Road'. The book is kinda surreal in its story line. I can hardly remember the narratives well though.
The author infused a lot of strange depictions of black art that made me had nightmares then....don't know if anyone else read that book.

This book comes to my mind, Who Moved My Cheese?
What a book. I have read it almost if not more than 10 times but it always proves new to me. Is a must read book for everyone.

I've read a lot of books but the best have read has yo be Line of Duty - Michael Grant.

A wonderful blend of comedy, crime and loyalty. You should read it.

The next has to be Villa - Nora Roberts. Crime, loyalty, betrayal, love, unhealthy competition. This is the work of a genius.

Third: A Nigerian novel, that I have sadly forgotten the title, takes this spot. I think the novel is something like "The farmer or The Tapper". A poor Tapper/farmer has to deal with challenges. (Can barely remember the novel Sef)

Fourth: Lord of the flies. Read it like 6 times, it was boring the first 5 times but I truly enjoyed it the last time and I marveled at the genius this "boring" book has within it. Each page was torture because I knew I was getting a page closer to the end. I give all to the author

Hope you're not referring to me along side your 'Nigerian youths.' If I didn't love books, I wouldn't have viewed the thread at all. Didn't you see I acknowledged it was 'interesting to comment on?' In fact, tell me if you read through all the lines of the thread before commenting. What should I care about in Econs, or some weird looking 'Shakespearan' name? I love books, please!
If you were thoughtful enough, you wouldn't have quoted me.

I didn't want to enlist a book but this person's made me to.
For the Christian faithfuls in the house, check out 'The Prayer of Jabez' by Bruce Wilkinson, read and see your prayer life change. To general readers, see 'Think and Grow Rich' by Napoleon Hill, tis epic; then to my fellow missionaries in the field of Chemistry, see 'Advanced Chemistry' by Mathews, a book by Cambridge--it's much rich, to put it simple.

No hard feelings brother. Let's maintain the serene atmosphere please. You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but then, there are many others that might be interested in what you aren't. Its obvious you are a book lover too for you to enter this thread and adopt the sacred hashtag. Nonetheless, please let's keep books at the centre stage in this thread NOT recriminations directed at people (this admonition goes for everyone in this thread). Maturity consists in knowing what to pay attention to and what to ignore.
Thanks for sharing though.

Finished reading an American Classic, The Catcher in the Rye. I had to force myself to finish that book, it was a total snoozefest. Wonder what the hype was all about. Immediately deleted it from my phone when I was through.
