Mbu doesn't worry me cos his antecedents is well known.. My concern really is this over grown kids in the HoR who can't seem to conduct their affairs in a mature and civil manner. Always the theatre of the absurd.

It saddens my heart when people starts supporting people like Mr Mbu because of politics.

This man, an AIG for that matter, said his men should commit mass murder by killing 20-100 people should one policeman get killed. Hmm, interesting.

Let me paint a picture here:

During d forthcoming polls, political thugs invades a polling booth to steal a ballot box, d policeman assigned to protect d polling booth gets killed trying to stop them.

His colleagues on patrol or at d local station gets wind of d development, they head to d polling booth and begins to shoot indiscriminately without investigating. Killing in d process patriotic Nigerians who had come out to observe their civic rights, babies and those in their bedrooms hit by stray bullets (I pray it won't be u), etc

Wow, what a great picture.

And people are here supporting this same person who encourages such. Well keep supporting him, I just pray such an event does not play out in your neighbour, it's then you'll wish u'd spoken against it.

Keep supporting a murderer you hear.
.
.
Mr AIG said if a policeman is killed...20-100 of the miscreant will be killed in return!... If a thug invade a polling center...and kill a policeman...then 20-100 of those thugs will be killed in return... How is that difficult to swallow into ur brain?

Naija police are over zealous. Give them the chance to take a step and they take a million.

It would have been better if they can spot the thugs and face them fire for fire. I won't be surprised if they shoot blindly in retaliation, not caring who gets hit on the voting queue, then gather all the innocent vics(plus the few thugs) and place some locally made guns beside their lifeless bodies!

Mbu needs to be more diplomatic and more professional with his utterances.

The deployment of Mbu to Lagos/Ogun axis, has thrown Tinubu,APC and their rigging plans into confussion,to the point they are looking for way to cage him.

APC,why crying foul?.
Mbu only warned potential miscrants,to be ready to go down 6feet below.why then the cry APC?

APC is a party full of miscreants starting from the leadership to the mentally distorted followers. It's a shame what manner of an opposition party we have in Nigeria. They are not even an option. My dog will get more votes than APC.

Madaki hinged his motion on the utterances & actions of Mbu, which he said were at variance with the constitution & the Electoral Act.

I cannot see mbu as a threat at all because the total number of police that nigeria have is very minimal, let takes example, in every polling unit at least 5 police officers will be redeployed with their old ak47 which they are not assure of its perfection or possibly not working, how can they deal with people that their number is more than 150 and beyond? Mbu may die easy like a dog if he present himself before the masses during the exercise because many people will target him including police officers for risking their live.
Re: AIG Mbu’s Utterances Throw Reps Members Into Rowdy Session by deltapikin(m): 10:41pm On Feb 24, 2015
Based on Mbu's statement, he did not asked his men to kill innocent citizens. The so called honourables mean that the policemen should fold their arms and watch the touts killing them. They are afraid because their touts they will send out to unleash mayhem on innocent people are in trouble. They should rather talk to their supporters not to be violent before/during and after the election.

People like Jonathan never learn from HISTORY!

It is the likes pf Police Mbu that rent guns to armed robbers, murder motorists for #20, kill suspects in Police Cell, exposes informants to Armed robbers, e.t.c .... all the things Policemen should not be.

But as usual, once he is doing Jonathan's bidding,...ALL IS WELL WITH HIM, right?

Abeg don't turn naija to a jungle on the platter of politics

If there is any group of people that are "self destructive" .... it is the IGBOS!

Let us put this in context:

1.) The Police AIG Mbu said that (a) If one Policeman is killed during this election, he will order that 20 unarmed Civilians be killed... IN RETALIATION!
(b) he will strip Governors of their Immunity, which is a constitutional imposition, rightly or wrongly.

2.) AIG Mbu is a "Law Officer" not (supposedly) some thug or armed robber or a Boko haram operative.

3.) AIG Mbu was recently posted to Lagos, amongst Lagosians, by a President that knows that he is not loved, due to his inept performance, by Lagosians. He is here to do the "dirty work" of intimidation and harassment of Yorubas...judging by the glee with which Igbos here-in are celebrating his stewpidity

Now, Let us assume that AIG Mbu, an "Igbo Police Officer", was saying this, in Anambara or Enugu, by all intent and purposes, his "20 Victims" would likely be his Igbo brethrens.
Question is: Would Igbos still feel jubilant about his senseless outbursts?

Most would deceitfully, say YES.... but lets examine a real live situation:

Killing in retaliation is termed Jungle Justice ....... something NOT expected of a LAW OFFICER (policeman)
Recall the Aluu Killings. It was condemned by everyone, including Igbos! Why? because it was "Jungle Justice". Igbos reasoned, and rightly so, that those guys should have been arrested and at least handed over to the Police for Prosecution. That is rule of Law.

So, l can say that Igbos "know what is right, know rule of law, know Jungle Justice" but for some starnge reasons, are willing to "look the other way", if the victims are Yorubas! shocked shocked shocked

Let us recall the "APO SIX", where Six Young Igbo people are murdered by callous Policemen in the likes of Mathew Mbu.
Whatever the "six" did, everyone agreed that they should not have been executed by the Police. They should hav ebeen arrested and brought before a judge who may then pronounce a death sentence on them. Everyone, including the same igbos ranting here, agreed that the "Police should not be the accuser and executioner".

Now, No one is advocating the killing of Policemen but let me mention that Policemen do get killed in the line of duty...everywhere in the world.
It does not make it right or legal but l am just saying historically, IT HAS HAPPENED and may still happen, going forward.

When it happens, is it the constitutional right of the Police to RETALIATE BY KILLING 20 MEMBERS OF THE CITIZENRY IN RETURN .....
..OR TO ARREST AND PROSECUTE THE OFFENDERS?

By his own admission, killing 20 other people (let us even assume one of the twenty was the Police Killer, that means there are 19 innocent people, just like the innocent APO Six or the innocent ALUU 4, that Mbu will execute!) is Mathew Mbu's way of executing his duty and serving Justice?

For an AIG, in any decent country, ruled by a decent President and not some power-drunk slowpoke (yes, l have no apologies for calling him so), Mathew Mbu will be IMMEDIATELY discharged dishonourably.

Seeing the way Igbos are so elated at this madness and madman dancing naked in the market, you would wonder whether these group of people are savages or have ever learnt anything in their past history.... or from their past experience?

You would wonder how "tribalism and bigotry" has made Igbos loose all sense of decency and morality, that they gloat over such idiotic pronunciation..simply because the victims will be Yorubas!

When the APO SIX were murdered by the likes of Mbu, ...Yorubas did not relish the execution because the victims were Igbos, we joined hand and condemned "what is evil" ..... l guess that is one of the major differences between Yorubas and Igbos.

When the ALU 4 were murdered, you did not see Yorubas saying "serves them right" since they are Igbos!

But what Igbos seems to be incapable of learning is that "Election will come and go but the legacy of what is said now, will linger beyond the election ....and "what goes round (like a suicidal Mathew Mbu), eventually comes around"

If tomorrow, there is an LGA election in say Enugu between PDP and APGA, both presenting Igbo candidates, and a Policeman opens fire on the Igbo APGA candidate and the populace, because of some "infraction of the law" (dont tell me Policemen have not been killed in Igbo land in the past)..... I hope these same Igbo will not start crying out of Police Brutality?

I hope when that Igbo street hawker in Lagos gets murdered by a Policeman or when Ikechukwu is arrested for some offence and gets tortured to death in a Police cell at Ajegunle, the Igbos would jump up and applaud such Policemen and call them "Lion killer" undecided

Mathew Mbu wont be the first :overzealous Policeman to come to Lagos, ...Lagos has away of dealing with his types, all we need to do is just "wait and watch". Aftre all there are tens of "Mad people" all over Lagos who were former Policemen who thought they could get away with impunity! grin

Finally, in a wider context, let me say this: Igbos are playing a very dangerous game....they are hedging all their bets in one basket.
I hope Jonathan wins this election but if he doesn't.... IGBOS WOULD BE IN FOR A VERY ROUGH RIDE, FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS!
Even if he wins, he can only be there for 4yrs, at most...so what happens after that 4yrs?
when will or will they ever produce a "real Igbo President"

Would Igbos be foolish to assume that majority of Nigerians (let us say a conservative 65%) will forget the role they played during this period?

I hope Igbos are prepared to reap the whirlwind of the storm they are sowing now?
"Once beaten, is supposed to be twice "shy" or at least, "twice cautious"....... not "twice foolish" or "twice suicidal"!

If anything, l can assure you that the end of Mbu will be a disgrace, at best, if he continues in this hi s"mad, naked dance at the market square".

NB: You can froth and foam in the mouth as much as you like over my comment, it changes nothing as l guarantee your right to exercise your freedom of madness. undecided

Thumbs up the Mr Mbu, I love him for his courage. Our Policemen should not become sacrificial lamb because of elections. Before you start condemning the AIG, ask yourself this question: what if your brother or father was in the force should his life be taken just like that by one good for nothing tout? To all touts in Lagos, it's in your best interest to behave. The AIG will carry out his threat it you don't behave, he did things in Rivers.

@lastpage, i didn't bother reading your epistle because it's fool of bigotry. Let me make one thing clear to you, this is not 1960 when you can garner sentiments by publishing false articles just because you can speak English. Now, people are wiser. A lot more people are educated. People want a better life and not this tribalism of a thing. I am sure if i see you physically, u will be one village boy in Ogbomosho that his village contributed to send him to an Arts school and now, on seeing social media, he thinks he has a voice.

Well let me make some things clear to you:
1. When Sanusi said Yorubas were the problem of this country, how long was your epistle?
2. When Fayose said Buhari and APC were big liers, did your epistle exceed this one?
3. When FFK called APC the killer/Boko Haram party, were you still learning English?
4. When Agbaje said he would free Lagos State/SW from the shackles of bondage, were u still in the shrine receiving your first set of tribal marks?

Now, a police man in his capacity as an AIG has made a very correct statement regarding the protection of his subordinates and in your warped brain it has turned to Yoruba vs Igbo. You have the brain of a chicken. Your hatred for Igbo will lead you to an early grave. Free yourself so you can be useful to this society. Don't let this be the lastpage of your life.
