This is true also of the PDP. The moment Good luck Jonathan made himself sole candidate for the PDP, the PDP shrank to one-fifth it's original size and became the Jonathan Re election Party (JRP). The JRP cannot win up to eleven states even when you add three south west states (winning three south west states is very remote for PDP although Lagos votes are going significantly to PDP for governorship they will never translate to Jonathan for Presidential).
The old Obasanjo trick of selling the machinery of the party to an incumbent president is what has destroyed PDP for ever now that Jonathan has tried it.

What is the benefit of picking Fashola when he won't be able to win in the north or Rochas who can't even win in the south south or southwest. APC installed the best candidate with the best chance of pulling votes from all sections of the country, forget tribal/religious sentiments and think for yourself!
