OP, this is the answer to your question.. You don't need to go any further. An average African has been brainwashed to a point where he/she even believes in a book that refers to him/her as "Cursed". We don't think anymore talk less of analyse. A smart person would ponder upon your question but a brainwashed person will quote a 2000 year old story.
wow I love you bro! love what u wrote, wouldn't have said it any better! I'm happy they are people like you in this country

Kruzilano:
you have spoken well, buh would u say they weren't smart enof to document all these. People do not take Columbus to be a black man any longer, we once ruled, buh were unable to make impact in our land let alone in the world. So whr are the evidences tha we once ruled. If after every every, the white takes the glory, africa has become a dustbin, whr worthless stuff are thrown.. Nd I do not think the white visited benin kingdom by foot. they created sometin tha made the world applauded them...

The pitfall of many of Africa's civilization is the reliance on oral documentation as opposed to written. Even so, there are written documentations of some of what has been told. The Voyage of Abubakari II is documented for example. The evidence of us ruling is everywhere all over. The reason it seems absent is because we have simply abandoned our history.

Go To Spain today and their medieval architecture was designed and built by Africans who once ruled there. In Nigeria, the largest man made earthwork even with a larger amount of earthworks than the Great Pyramids still stands there.

The civilization of Great Zimbabwe and it's ruins are still there. Sankore University, one of the first ever universities in the world where scholars who taught the so called great philosophers graduated from is still in Timbuktu.

In South America, the evidences of our presence there before Columbus still stands there. Colombus was never a black man. He never discovered America first. Africans had been there before him.

Our history is all over the place and hidden under our noses. We just need to read and discover. It is no secret and it's all out there.

Like I said though. All of this is irrelevant if we are not willing to work for restoration.

Long story, I hope you answered why Africa is not as developed as Europe ?

Read and re-read the post again, in between the lines and therein will you find the answer.

My guess is that you did not read the post in the first place for if you did you wouldn't be asking me this irrelevant question.

Or you want me to summarize it for you? Such a small post not large enough to fill up 2 pages of a textbook? undecided

What a waste of mental capacity.

Only God can solve the problem of our underdevelopment. Africa is a suffering continent. It's suffering from the Europeans that are lording it over it.

Colonialism has gone. No Europeans left to 'Lord Over' anyone. But plenty of home grown Lords! It is time to stop blaming the past and using it as an excuse for not developing.

God has given everyone ability and brains. He has done HIS bit for Africa so now its time for Africa to do ITS bit.

Most Southern Nigerians know nothing about Timbuktu. The only reason why many Northerners do is because about 3 ethnic groups living in Nigeria today also lived in Mali prior to now (the Zarma (also known as the Songhai), the Fulani (Fulbe), and the Tuaregs (also known as the Kel-Tamasheq)).

Interesting enough, Although i do not condone Axum posting, but he makes certain points about certain individuals. Again i don't agree but i can see where he is coming from.

Africa was once a mirror to the global village:

I once read in encyclopedia Brittanica that " When there was light in Egypt , there was total darkness in Britain ".
We can only wake up from our slumbering only if the African leaders have a rethink about the developmental stages of our continent.
Take for instance , if GEJ could prudently utilized the stolen Abachas money returned by world Bank, instead my prodigal doctor is busy dashing out the dollars to the militias for the purpose of been re-elected .Its very unfortunate having such looters and miserable cabres as leaders.

Africa will match the global developmental realm only if we have a rethink in all ramifications ....

I beg to differ. You can't underplay the hundreds of years of mental subjugation africans were made to suffer in the hands of Europeans. Recovery is not as easy as ABC as you think. Even the media today still continues to portray 'light skinned'(lack of the natural melanin, by the way) as epitome of beauty over dark-skinned, and such impression speaks volumes on the minds of the young ones who grow up with such complex. Similar tactical ploy by the Europeans was employed to subjugate the Japanese, masked under the so-called subterfuge of christianity and the Japanese were wise to detect the ploy early and banished the Europeans and their religion from their country, thus saving themselves of what would have been a similar enactment of african subjugation in Japan.

Don't take Axum seriously. He is only mad at Africans because a lot of them do indeed bow down to Whites and have a vast inferiority complex when they should not have with all this vast and beautiful history. A lot of what he says about Africans not being proud of who they are is true. Why are black men and black women both chasing after whites as if they are God themselves. It gets ridiculous sometimes.

It pleases me sometimes though to see Africans who are into their own culture and KNOW about their culture and history, because I can confidently say, most Africans are indeed uneducated about their ancestors and their pasts.

Tarcot parson propounded 3 reasons why African remain underdeveloped
1 strictly adherence to culture and tradition: for instance if u tell African farmers abt climate change, there is a need for modification. they will tell you that, this is hw i was taught by my grandpa, you that were born yestday what do you knw.
2 kingship system: whatever king says is final, no assessment, no bargaining. if king says nobody sud cultivate ds month. thatz final
3 emotional/ religion fatalistic: everytin is attributed to God. nver tk a research or ask why questions. good or bad, GOD. mansion collapsed Africans will say na GOD collapse am. plane crash, they will say, na God.
Europeans, white in general r economic man and rational but dudu exchanging bags of cocoa for faded clothes or mirror. barrels of palm oil for battery torchlight after few days battery will go off. lo ba tan

This is why I'm not very religious I agree with you. I mean whilst I do respect religion, I sometimes think that religion enslaves people to a point where they are often blinded by truth.
