Your stupidity knows no limit. Igbos have become strangers in their country ,how bigoted and tribalistic some have become. Puke. Learn, the policians will do anything to get votes while you sit there and hate for no just reason. Until we grow out of this sentiments and vote for the right person, no way. Does Tinubu own Lagos why must it be his own candidates, can't he give others a try? Change has come to stay. Digest that.
I find it difficult to understand the kind of Progressives APC call themselves. They shout change, yet, they insult, intimidate and threaten those who want to vote for change.

Change they want. Change they must get

Very lengthy write up but it all boils down to one thing, perception! Can any Yoruba person or group dare go to Imo or Enugu and start shouting no man's land? Can any Yoruba person or group go into Imo or Enugu and shout that the election in those states will be determined by Yorubas? No matter how you look at it, the Igbos in Lagos are walking a very thin rope which might just snap any given day. All these issues would have been resolved if Igbos just maintain a calm demeanor and vote for whomever they like, you don't have to shout no man's land up and down trying to claim what is not yours. Yes Igbos helped build Lagos, yes Igbos should be able to vote for their candidate but that does not mean you all get to do whatever you like, Nigeria is still a country classified by ethnicity, Lagos perhaps is the most accommodating of all the States in terms of diversity and the Yorubas are probably the meekest of tribes when it comes to using force but don't mistake meekness for weakness !

I don't see APC winning Lagos State... the mistake has already been made. Ambode would have Won convincingly had the Oba not said anything. but now, the tide has changed, JK now seems to have the Advantage. Jes like the Ruling party lost Power in the Country, so also will the Ruling party loose Power in Lagos State. Ma Ppl, it's the season of CHANGE don't forget that.

Believe me, your generations unborn will curse you in future because you will have no longer have a place to call your home. Yorubas should stand as one against these igbo virus.

And jk is not sponsored by thiefs too? Look at what pdp has stolen the past 4 years. Tinubu was already rich before even the 1999 elections.

Stop hating tinubu. Look for ways to make your own money legitimately too.

Igbos have won 5 house of reps positions in Lagos: Oshodi, Ajegunle, Festak etc. Don't worry, igbo will soon become your local government chairman. Maybe then, your eyes will open

The igbos are capitalizing on the division between the yorubas to gain relevance in Lagos. Look well, Yorubas will lose and its a win for igbos if jk wins.

And you know they do "my brother my brother" alot. They will support themselves with policies that will take your land away from you. CANT YOU SEE THE TREND?

Yoruba votes willl be divided between Ambode

The survey I have had in the past 5days:
-Okada riders say they won't vote for APC
because Fashola seized their bikes. These
okada riders are mostly northerners.
Infact, they have had meetings concerning the
election.
-Commercial bus drivers say they won't vote
APC because agberos keep extorting money
from them
-Shop owners say they won't vote APC
because of illegal and excessive tax they pay
to government
-market women say they won't vote APC
because shopping malls built by LASG is too
expensive. Oyingbo and Suru-Alaba market
women comes to mind
Land owners/property developers say they
won't vote APC because Omonile give them
problems.
It will take a miracle for Ambode to win. I am
an APC supporter but I fear the outcome of
the governorship results in Lagos.
Someone should please tell our President elect that we voted for Buhari and not APC!
Now we are voting Agbaje and not PDP!
Meanwhile Fashola has been everywhere doing the talking. While I still love and respect him. Is Fashola running for Governor or Ambode? I won't vote anyone who can't come out to win my vote. Oops Jimi already did. I won't vote for someone who can't speak for himself. Eloquence of a bus conductor and a mere book cooker! Someone whose indigeneship has a comma!

I have tried to restrained my self so long from all these issues, truth be told if pdp wins, the yorubas have themselves to blame, the voting pattern in the presidential election was scaring, I was shocked that apc could not gather 1 million votes for buhari despite the vp being youruba. Its not an igbo thing, the yorubas are divided, no matter the number of the igbos, they are not still more than the yorubas, the afenifere and opc deimension says it all, even the votes for buhari from other sw states were not encouraging. Something went wrong somewhere.

The APC Governors and leaders in the SW perhaps have been naive all along, but a quick word to everyone shouting change in lagos, nothing will change with a pdp in lagos, anybody who think latsma, kai, lekki toll gate will be a thing of the past is only joking, people are working hard for pdp's victory and they must be settled big time to the disadvantage of all lagosians but an apc govt aligning with the centre gives an edge.

Let's be wise, I can wake up 4am to drive out to work in Lagos, i don't want another ekiti please!!!!

You can bring accord, labour party even apga to lagos but not pdp, ekiti people are crying o!

My friend think about what you say, think carefully. These two men are Yoruba's and indigenous Lagosians or are they not?
Those who will vote will be eligible Nigerians living in Lagos who have their pvc's or are they not?
So why do you see tribe as an issue in this matter. If a politicians ideas are of my interest why should I not vote him. Hence, if agbaje's vision will favor Igbo's which am sure will still benefit the entire Lagos, why should they not vote him massively?
We do not understand the word democracy, and that's why the oba can come out and say he owns lagos therefore Nigerians must vote whoever he choses. Is this democracy?
Everybody everywhere should be able to vote any person they want Nigeria must move forward, away from these petty issue's.

You are right! Tribe should not matter, everyone should be able to vote for their candidate, I have no problem with that but what I do have problem with is the fact that one candidate is inciting one tribe against the other, what I do have a problem with is Igbos claiming Lagos is a no man's land and that they'll determine the outcome of the election. I'm sorry but you are very biased. Even before the Oba made the negative statement, JK and PDP had been campaigning using Igbos as his tool, even before the Oba's statements, Igbos have been shouting Lagos is a no man's land. These things contributed to the negative atmosphere Lagos is experiencing right now. Stop using vague rhetoric to justify your point, the fact remains that Nigeria is deeply divided by ethnicity, what you can't do in Aba or Onitsha, don't come and start it in Lagos, Eko o ni baje, Igbos can never rule Lasgidi, I still maintain my position as long as Yorubas don't have a say in Enugu or Anambra, Igbos can and will never dominate Lagos a Yorubaland. Nobody is against Igbos voting for Agbaje but do it in peace, stop trying to influence the election by intimidating people, what the heck did the Igbo group go and do at the palace? Did they go there to entice him to vote for Agbaje or not? Igbos thinking they can outsmart everybody since 1960 grin grin grin

arsetalks:
I am Yoruba. Ironic isn't it? The problem with the igbos is that you always want to go against the people who are your host. You regard the hausas as enemy but go to the north, you find thousands of igbos doing business there. Hypocritical isn't it? You see the yorubas as enemy yet you can't stay off their land and want to pick who govern them as well.

I think there is a problem with your views. As a democratic country Nigeria should move forward, but we still see things from an ethnic stand point because we don't understand democracy. Don't you think that this would not have been an issue, if the Oba had not made that comment he made? who says a yoruba man does not have a say in ENUGU by reason of his vote? A yoruba man is free to vote any Presidential, Governatorial, Senatorial, or House of reps candidate of his choice if he is in Enugu or any part of Nigeria. Besides, these two men are Yoruba's and Lagosians at that. Fine, their parties are different but whats the essence of democracy without opposition? Are the voters not Nigerians residing in Lagos who should exercise their civic rights? whats your point with the above statement?

arsetalks:
The majority who are Yoruba in Lagos will vote for APC but because of your "we are the victim" mentality, you want to go against those you perceived to be your enemies. One moment the Hausa are your enemy, the other moment it is the yorubas and the hausas.

What's the enmity in Nigerians voting for a fellow Nigerian, in a Nigerian state, under a democratic system of government? I don't get your enmity point. Everyone as long as you are a Nigerian, should be entitled to exercise his or her civic rights without fear, this is democracy.

arsetalks:
I try not to play the tribe card but fact has to be said. My friend ( I find it difficult calling them friends ) are igbos, they all agree the problem of the igbos is the "we are the victim" mentality. Not every igbo are like this though but the majority are. Sad fact.

But you played this card and its simply because you don't understand what democracy is all about, its about being free to chose in Nigeria.

arsetalks:
You see everyone as your enemy and try hard to upset the applecart. The blind knows APC has done well in Lagos. Yours is a meaningless protest vote.

I think you are the one that has this enemity view and besides if APC has done well as they claim, then Let Nigerians decide by their votes.

arsetalks:
Now I expect some uncivil people to quote and abuse me. They will not argue with facts, they will abuse.
I think your statements do not have facts well embedded in them. who says that an opposition party in Lagos can not do better than what has been done. You see the problem we as citizens have is that we are not critical in thought, ask your self why will an Oba in a democratic country make the kind of statement he made? the answer is simple they need a pawn, a puppet, who will only do as he is told because he was chosen. will such an arrangement move you to where you want to be? who says Lagos or indeed Nigeria cannot be better than they show you it is.
