Christ and hence Christianity teaches to do things for others as well! The greatest commandment in the Word of God the Bible and Christianity as a whole is "to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength." The second is thus;" to love your neighbour as yourself. " This is what Christ teaches and it involves giving up one's priorities to take up Christ's I.e being born again. This is why although Jesus has done something so wonderful for humanity by giving up His life on the cross to save us, people still contemplate giving their lives to Him. This is because man is a self centered being and innately sinful and can only naturally want to only do things that please him alone; not God or his neighbour. This is why there are so many wars today; greed! But Jesus came to teach a higher way; the way of unconditional love, and since man is innately weak to live like this constantly, He came also to die and resurrect hence spiritually empowering man by the power of faith and the Holy Spirit, to live above sin; therefore living a life of love towards God and man! Religions teach people how to cater for themselves alone. Jesus came to teach and equally empower man to live above sin and sickness and death! Accept Him today! |

Last time i checked, both christianity and islam fall under the definition of religion. In recent years both have made feeble attempts at distancing themselves from the word and "repackage" their faith as "a way of life" or "islam is peace". Why get scared of contacting ebola when religion was kept billions of humans brain dead for centuries? |
