Thanks Justwise

Should I state the same estimate/costs I used for my application for my spouse as well?
The calculation I used was for both of us.

Yes it's the same. Total cost of the trip for both of you.

Hi Gurus in the house i just received a mail from the home office saying a decision has been made on my passport, it is even barely 2 weeks, so i dont know if it is a bad sign or good sign, and is it when i collect my passport back that i get to know the decision or will i get an email to that effect.

Hello friends, brothers, and big Boss.
Pls house, I have an issue that I believed it will be solved here.
My brother is currently a medical student in India and have a medical conference to attend in UK which he has registered and been given an invitation and acceptance letters including accommodation. The broblem now is the prove of financial status of his stay in UK or sponsorship letter with statement of account which is part of tourists visa requirements.
Please house, I want to know what to do as a student

@ Esosa4real;
Apart from where costs should be stated in Pounds, did you fill other cost sections in pounds or naira?
i.e. The total amount of money you have for this trip?
- The cost of aeroplane, trains etc?
- The cost of accommodation
- The cost of your living expenses

Where u r to put pounds, it would be clearly stated (In GBP), otherwise the other costs, I put them in Naira!!

If the transit is less than 24hrs then you don't need a transit visa

Nope I have never used a fake name nor faked any documents. All documents I used where issued by the relevant officials. Last time I was refused I was 17yrs, four days away from turning 18. I lost the refusal letter issued. But I think it was both immigration laws. My mother is in the UK and has indefinite leave to remain. If the student visa route is not the most feasible, which visa can I apply for?
Dear Justwise Please respond to my query, really need your help.

Hello Justwise & esosa4real!

Since,I am the one paying for the trip , what answers should I give to the questions below for my spouse?

Is someone other than you paying for all or a part of your trip?
What is the total cost of your trip, including money others may be giving you, in GBP(£)?

There is no way to separate the cost since you are traveling together...fill in the same amount, the whole thing will become clearer when the package is put together as a couple.

I am to get some help. I am a South African citizen and want to go study in the Uk. I have applied and got accepted. My problem is I was refused a visa in 2006. The first time I was told they did not believe that the supporting documents were legitimate, which they were. The second time I was refused because I overstayed and used public funds which my passport stamp stated I was not supposed to. I had overstayed. I was a under the age of 18 when I overstayed and had nobody to stay with since my mother was in the uk. I overstayed from 2004-2006. But each of these years I would return to SA after school was closed for the year and return to the UK for new school year. The whole time I was waiting for my unabridged certificate to be issued. And it took 3yrs for it to be issued after numerous times of the "applications were lost". I was using different passports, the first one got lost and had to get a temporary passport. Which I used for 2005 and used new permanent 2006. I only disclosed the last time I overstayed cos I assumed they knew about the other times. The public funds story, I went for a fee assessment in the college I was attending. And they told me I don't have to pay. I explained this to the immigration officer but guess they did not believe me. I was days away from turning 18 when I applied for the dependency visa, the officer said I just want a visa. Since I was a minor, what were my rights? Though I was turning 18! The UKBA guide for immigration officers doesn't classify attending college as recourse to public funds. Why was I told the opposite? What are the chances of getting a tier 4 student visa? The last letter of refusal explicitly stated I will never be issued a UK Visa, no mention of any time limit.

Studying fee free when you are not entitled to it is clearly recourse to public fund. That is a breach of your visa.

You really messed up your chances of getting a visa. You overstayed many times, and studied without paying.

Is your mum your sponsor?

In other words, I should answer no to (Is someone other than you paying for all or a part of your trip?)
Sorry I am asking too much wink

BTW
I also had to state the same amount for myself for my spouse as well,( how much of your total monthly income is given to your family members and other dependents?)
She is unemployed

The answer is Yes. Then you enter the amount just like in your form because you are traveling together as a family. That is the total cost of the trip to both of you.

Remember to use the blank space to explain this clearly that you are sponsoring the trip, if you called for an interview then better you can explain it better

Dear house,

I was suppose to attend a conference in Liverpool from 16-18 April, 2015. I applied for a UK 2 years visa on 30th March 2015 on a new passport and the visa was issue on the 10th of April, but teleperformance did not return my passport until 17th April, so I missed the conference. I have no immediately plans to visit the UK until September 2015 for another conference. My question is will my waiting till September 2015 have any effect my entry into the UK to attend another conference? Should I just take a short trip now for holidays before the planned visit in September 2015. Note I also have valid US and German Schengen visas on my previous passport.

It is a multi-entry visa therefore, it can be used for subsequent travels if the purposes are deemed valid.

Justwise, Vicjustice and the experts in the house, i greet you all.

I, my wife and baby girl which will be 2yrs 25, May 2015 applied for six {6} months UK Family Tourist Visa last year April 2014 and we were all granted.

We all traveled same April last year during Easter and we all spent six {6} weeks and return back to Nigeria.

We only travel once with the 6 months visa and in November we all applied for two {2} years, i was called and later receive an email that our package is ready for pick up which i pick up our package and we were all granted, we intend to travel December for Xmas but due to some family occasions we couldn't make it

I and my daughter that will be 2yrs 25, May this year 2015 wants to visit London before her birthday as my wife just got a job and wont be possible to go with us because we will be staying three {3} weeks.

Now my question is this;

Since it's a Family Tourist Visa can i and my daughter go without my wife ?

Also can i go alone if probably i cant go with my daughter due to some other reasons ?

We will be staying in a hotel

Thanks

Your query is well understood, therefore, i can confidently say YES to your both questions, NO PROBLEM.
The only instance in which you would have a problem is, if there is a remark (on the visas) stating that you can only be admitted into the UK if you traveled together with your family. In the absence of such clause, there is absolutely no problem if you or your wife travel alone.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by kemi2505: 12:43pm On Apr 24, 2015
[Thanks and God bless you so much the only thing written in the Remarks is C - VISIT, same on my wife's Visa except for our daughter that says C - VISIT - CHILD ACCOMPANIED, Only valid if acc by either my passport or my wife's passport]

As your own passport does not carry such restricting remark, then, you're good to travel with or without your family.
