We had VHS recordings of a lot of Hagler's fights. The guy was a brawler and far from a counter-puncher so any journalist that labels Hagler a defensive fighter is a placebo and clearly doesn't know what he is talking about

Not necessarily. I was quite specific about the guys I think could fight Mayweather based on their skills and different attributes. Mayweather was smart and managed his career brilliantly. He's 38 and only has 48 fights. Hagler retired before 35 and had almost 70 bouts.

He was never knocked down. I have no doubt he would have been killed by Hagler if they ever got in the ring. This isn't ninjas with suspect chins like Hatton, De La Hoya, Cotto and even Pacman to an extent or a Mosley at almost 40. I make bold to say no fighter in this present generation would go the distance with Hagler including Mayweather

While I feel nostalgia plays a role in the older's generations argument about sportmen of year's past, there is no LIE in saying boxers of nowadays are chumps.Go on youtube and watch the fab 4 take turns on each other and get back to me. I have seen all of that Bro. There is not one of the all time classics I am yet to watch. There is a reason why I specifically picked mayweather out of this current bunch. No one is for a second saying this era is much better. However We should stop underrating this current era. Why it did not happen years ago is anyone's guess. They've been a lot of reasons being thrown about why however no one but the two boxer's camp know the exact reasons

There is no chance In hell Hagler would have beaten Mayweather to a pulp. NOT A CHANCE!. May has the higher ring IQ of the two and will adjust to whatever is being thrown at him by round 4/5. It'll be an incredibly tight contest brah.

Pacman probably won't go the distance as his style plays right into the hands of Hagler. However May definitely goes the distance. I don't care who you are If you face mayweather you are going to miss more shots than you land and that leaves you open to counters.
