While I do not & will not support anything that does not glorify my name as a creative writer that I am. I take it personal when people try to play Jesus on an issue we all know they're equally as guilty or even more guilty.

So
I only want you lots to reckon that every evil facet of this country had been pioneered by the yorubas, thus it is a height of hypocrisy for you lots to come back and point a finger at anyone when the four others point directly at you.

I have been on this forum for sometime now and I see exactly what's going on here. Not that I am not aware of the hate or envy that some of you hold against us, but coming here have really shown me that the bitterness especially from yorubas against igbos is much more pronounced among those who claim to be educated.

Thus I have taken it upon myself to stand for my people Ndigbo in good times and in bad times.

And whenever I come across a bigot I shall employ all my knowledge to put such fellows back to their deserved state of misery.

Good day.

am an igala from Idah in kogi state, I have lived in ibo , Yoruba and many parts of Nigeria, my hometown is 77kms from nsukka and needless to say u shud know that there are IBO's that are even igalas and its on record that no single IBO resident was attacked in the whole igala land during the war. so I hope u see that am not Yoruba or holding brief for any group even including igalas. I say what I see and I have no time for bigotry, check my past posts u will see where I condemmed the wrong igalas are doing in kogi, so pls drop the usual I-am-hated-or-envied sentiment of IBO's and face reality.

Are you saying all the Unazis on facebook are originally Igbo?
And are you implying that two yorubas executed in Indonesia were Igbo or sent my Igbos? How ridiculous
Can you tell us what Unazi means in Igbo? If you can't, quit making up stories.

And the reality is that I don't care where you're from or how you feel about me or the Igbo in general as that is your personal business & inconsequential to me.

What is of my utmost important is what you pour out here online, which has been nothing but abject antagonism or outright bitterness bone out of either fear/admiration/envy or sheer mischief towards Ndigbo.

FYI I have more friends from other tribes than I have fellow Igbos, and that's simply because I don't judge people by either colour/religion/tribe, I just return whatever hand a fellow proffers.

IYou have provided no proof not to speak of proof that out-weighs mine. Unazi is mainly a Benue - Idoma, Tiv surname.
Besides, Igbos don't bear two English names officially. There would usually be a Igbo first name or middle name.
The two yoruba men executed looked yoruba.

If the world goes by your proposition to treat Igbos as guilty of drug dealing until otherwise proven, we would also have to treat yorubas as guilty of paedophilia, ritual murders and incestuous relationships until otherwise proven and northerners as terrorists until otherwise proven.

Drug dealing can be blamed on a nation that has failed its people. Paedophilia, murder and in-cest are inexcusable.

Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Here we have someone complaining about unfair treatment of Igbos. You should go back and read all your past post. Look at the one above, Yoruba is always written in small letter while all the other tribes you mentioned are capitalize. Sounds like a girl disappointed with a Yoruba guy... and it seems very personal(performance or timing issue?).

whether we like it or not, we all have, maintain and expand on our stereotypical perceptions of others. This is well explained from the standpoint of evolutionary psychology. Prejudice, some claim, is embedded inside our DNA to provide advantage over others.

I can see you're trying to justify drug dealing by claiming it's a result of government failure. Have you seen those at the other end of the drug trade? the thousands of families effected by some idi.t's decision to make a quick buck or the millions of kids whose lives are destroyed?

I only wanted to establish that not all non-yoruba. non-hausa names are Igbo names and hopefullly communicate that the issue is not just an Igbo issue. The part of your comment alluding to disappointment etc., stale.

It is so unfortunate that this lady is going to die. I remember when we visited Nigerians at the Sunga Bolul ( dont know if that is the right spelling) prison in Malaysia on a routine prison visit with the my friend and embassy official on my last trip to Malaysia 2 years ago. I really pity her cos her case stands out and was the only female Nigerian prisoner accuse of drug in the whole of Malaysia. i read must comment here and i pray that people dont judge us wrongly for what we were framed up for.

her story, she was married to a Nigerian guy that resides in Malaysia and after dating for sometime and the guy lavishing a huge amount of money on her. They decide to relocated to Malaysia and live as husband and wife, of course the guy have to go first to make preparations. He got admission for her in one of the mushroom schools attended mostly in Malaysia by Nigerians just to have a student status permit. when she was to meet him he made her believe he has ask someone to give a better traveling bag to make the trip for her convenience, the bag arrive via a friend and the bag man even called the hubby in Malaysia in her presence after which she also spoke to him on the same phone . all was set and smooth until she was arrested on arrival at the KLIA in Malaysia.

She is a very beautiful fair lady and you cant stop liking her when you see her and how friendly she was, we knew she had a very difficult case as she was a novice and had already made some statement and gave names plus pics of the guy and friends that he has. so who will come for her rescue? the supposed husband number couldn't be reach and his address and name were fake. he must have been using a different name in his passport cos the name she gave was not in any system. her case was helpless and there was nothing anyone could do but hope.

left after two weeks, but she was always in my mind. i was just laughing at comments here on how even her tribal men and women denied an innocent lady because of her name. of course we all know the tribe that runs the Drug trade in Asia. the fact still remains that an innocent lady is going to die because of the greed of a brother. she was deceived but the law is blind.

Please, if you have the guy's picture, post it so we can all help. Maybe the admin would allow (with some supervision) to create a defense fund for her. She can still be saved. The story of Mary Jane Fiesta Veloso is still very fresh in my mind. She was saved from the firing squad last month when the person that tricked her to carry the drug came forward.

The country should know who to thank for soiling her good name! Let's shame his family and extended family. Who knows, it may help bring an end to this insanity.

Not quite sure where your dirty mind went about disappointment or timing. And yeah, I know it's stale. If I see a news about ritual killing, I automatically suspect it was done in the west, pedophilia I think of the north and incest I think of the east(most people from the east only marry from their village which creates a close loop of bigotry as we can see). Drug dealing (from hard drugs to fake paracetamol or that fake cough syrup) also goes to the Igbos... same thing with cannibalism.

We can go on and on and on. Bottom line, I know very well the short coming of my tribe. Please accept yours and try to fix it.

You are still in denial of your shortcomings. Whenever we see news of an 8 yr old being raped by a grandpa, not married off, the perpetrator usually from the west. A story about a father raping his daughter or an uncle, his niece, still west. It's usually not between two consenting adults.
I'm not sure what villages are like where you're from but in the east, people don't marry from the same hamlet. Neighbouring ones, yes. Conducting checks prior to marriage to confirm that a couple are not related is very much part of the tradition.
Cannibalism has not been proven.

You should first accept and fix yours as an example to others.

P.S. I'm glad we both agree on the staleness of your earlier comment.

Well you are an ignorant person!

You are either an IGBO or behave like one. I know over a dozen people who were asked that question and I know that on the streets of Thailand the same question is asked, it was asked in Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.

I am one of the people who brought awareness to local police, people, immigration and customs in Asia about it and I know it is effective. If there are a few airport officials who are still not aware or want to stigmatize Nigerians then perhaps... but by and large it is starting to take root in Asia that the ethnic group from Nigeria dealing drugs are IGBOs.

NDLEA, Nigerian Ambassadors in those countries, diplomats, and many law abiding students and businessmen made sure of that.

I don't care what you think, IGBO people are not going to use drugs to destroy Nigerian passport for law abiding Nigerians and make their lives miserable without some of them doing something about it.

any IGBO person I see at the airport or on the streets of Asia doing drugs will be reported and made to face the firing squad and it will be reported as an IGBO statistic!

Bro, I have actually considered that prospect, and it scared me!! Imagine trying to defend yourself in the face of skepticism and prejudice? Tamuno pasisi!!

I was outside the country a few years back, and a Nigerian woman in the same hotel with my family got friendly with us, and asked us to help her carry some luggage because she had excess luggage and we seemed to be traveling light! I forbade everyone in my party from any attempt to be sympathetic! Certainly, the women with me begged and implored that we should help, but I was adamant!

Can something be as crazy as unwittingly being someone's drug mule? If you succeed, you get a "thanks for the assistance"; if you fail, you go straight to jail or the gallows! After all, who will believe you didn't know?

As expected, the Nigerian woman was pissed, but I didn't owe her any apologies; her boisterous and chatty nature even scared me more!!

Do you know why Thai embassy requires Clearance Certificate issued by N.D.L.E.A?
Because NDLEA flags IGBO passengers to the Thai even if a VISA is issued that IGBO person is marked.

NDLEA have and will always tell you that 99% of DRUG dealers are IGBO

NDLEA made interpol, ASIA, Middle East countries, South American coountries aware of the ethnic group involved in this crime.

Since then the detection rate and arrest of IGBO drug dealers have gone up!

That policy started in the period of General Musa Bamaiyi, I know that because the mallam made it his tenure policy to finger IGBO drug dealers.

So for your info, if you know any IGBO drug dealers tell them they will be checked specially even if the customs people at the other end just says "Nigerian".

Wouldn't they first have to be able to identify Igbo names? That's the tricky bit.
I'm guessing you know all Igbo names and Igbo name formats. Did you not just incorrectly guess that the subject of this post is Igbo when in fact Unazi is a Benue name. Can you tell whether someone with the surname Osa is Igbo or Bini, Olumba igbo or Cross River, Okoro Igbo or Urhobo, if their first names are English? I'm sure you would think Ochigbo is an Igbo name or Ola is definitely not Igbo . If you don't know, how can you educate others? That's assuming that these people actually care to differentiate among Africans, not to speak of Nigerians.
I doubt they'd subject non-Igbos to less checks than they would Igbos.
I haven't been given special attention on any of my asian trips because I'm Igbo. Perhaps it only happens in your neighbourhood.
If you truly want to mend your image abroad, join the movement for peaceful secession. As long as we hold the same passport, we are in the same boat.

I think you are a drug dealer or associated with drugs dealers and you are trying to find information and intelligence on how IGBO drug dealers are separated from other Nigerians!

It is ignorance like yours that is making IGBO people get caught easily these days...Your brain fails to assimilate the points I am making, points that happen to come from the NDLEA and many agencies catching IGBO people like flies these days!

Thai Officer Calls Nigerians, Igbos Curse Of Africa: An interrogating Thai officer made some disparaging remarks about Nigerians and Igbos in this drug-related interview: http://newsrescue.com/in-shocking-xenophobia-video-thai-officer-calls-nigerians-igbos-curse-of-africa/#axzz3ab3axGQL

If you think only that Thai police officer in all of the Thai and Asian police forces you are sadly mistaken. Many Ambassadors who served in Asia, foreign affairs staff, Nigerian citizens living there and other Nigerian Government agenceis made sure of that.

NDLEA is working with many international police forces on information sharing to stop drug traficking, NDLEA boss said majority of Drug trafickers are IGBO and the agency constantly supplies that information to foreign police forces.
