It's easy to talk bad about Africa, when you live in a country built on the backs of African slaves, an economy that was boosted by colonising African lands, and a continued appropriation of African Natural Resources, and run by Leaders colluding to maintain the Status Quo...

Very easy.

And this was allowed by who in the First Place?.....Black Africans!!!

A 1000 likes - the "stop blaming whites" rhetoric always gets brought up when people mention history. Guilty conscience! As if the past has nothing to do with the present. As if lands, wealth and livelihoods weren't stolen. As if the so-called developed countries aren't saddled with so much debt that they would be third-world if they didn't have access to the world's pooled capital.

An2elect2:

Hey am not blaming any white person for our problems. Read through my posts again. Was only trying to say most whites and some dimwit africans are extremely ignorant of history and present day reality in progressive Africa because they rely soley on the racist western media that derives joy in portraying africa as a shi.t hole!

Who would want to invest in a shi.t hole? in a stagnant continent? cant you see what they media is doing? driving foreign investors away. We have the good bad and ugly, why always the negative?

These racists do not have you in mind! sorry to say. They faster you know this, the better for your enslaved mind.

Question - this myth of the West swooping in to save Africa. Seriously! How do you know that Ebola would have wiped out those 3 countries without Western intervention? Do you have some sort of magic crystal ball? Where those countries not populated before the first Westerner stepped in them? Where they disease-free then? Yet they managed to survive right? As for the HIV/AIDS comments - I guess all those grandmothers and community members caring for orphans have white skin? How did the HIV/AIDS issue start in the first place? Current research places it's origin as during unhygienic vaccination practices that spread infections during the colonial period but that would me playing the blame whitey card again, right? Mtcheew! Emancipate yourself from mental slavery. I'm all for criticizing the way we do things, but never from the perspective of foreigners responsible for not one but two world wars. Like they have their sh*t together. They can take the log out of their eyes first before acting like they're holier than thou. They have drug addiction, homelessness, crime, racism, debt, failing infrastructure...they have issues. We have issues. And they do disturb us with their problems - when the IMF tries to force more loans on us to create more credit for them; when our leaders patronize their banks, hospitals and schools, pumping money into their economies; when their companies extract our natural resources at a pittance, they disturb us with their problems

I agree we don't live for them and they don't live for us as well.
however, while they don't disturb us with their problems.....
we hardly get by our problems without involving them
ebola would have wiped out at least 3 west African nations if not for their interventions...
most donor contributions towards eradicating HIV/AIDS and polio in Africa comes from them....
and I dont even want to start on the Mediterranean crossing.....
I cant continue to spoon-feed you and expect me to take you serious...
You dont like what people write or say about you.......
then get your acts together and prove them wrong.
pure and simple.

Please don't quote me if you have noting tangible to contribute.

African is not a single country, then name one African country that can match Malaysia and Singapore.

What nonsense. Europe must be one country. What country in Europe can match the USA?

South America must be one country. What country in South America can match Australia?

Middle East must be one country. What country in the Middle East can match Japan?

Do you seriously want me to believe all that u wrote there.
IMF forced African leaders to take loan......
I hope you are aware Ghana and Egypt just rejected IMF bail out funds..........
And seriously...I should blame the white man that a stupid African leader stole his countries wealth and deposited it abroad.......
And all u guys shouting natural resources exploitation are beginning to sound like a crack c.d..........
Botswana, a successful African country by universal standard developed her economy around diamond exportation.
They have consistently maintained a budget surplus and huge foreign reserves just by exporting diamond.
South Africa is another African country that depend on natural resources exportation as a source of foreign exchange earning.
Australia is a country ranked among the top five countries in prosperity index, yet 75% of her exports comprises coal and iron ore.
Instead of u guys to ask how serious countries are getting the best out of their natural resources....... All u do is to rant about exploitation.
As per what u wrote about HIV..........sorry, l don't do conspiracy theory.
If u have hard facts showing HIV was introduced into africa via immunisation..........
Present it and we'll debate it.

There's hardly a single group in the world today who haven't at some time, suffered great loss. The rest of the world move on - whether exiled Jews in Europe who suffered massive persecution for several centuries culminating in the holocaust; or Europeans devastated by 2 wars on a scale humanity had never seen; or Japanese or Chinese or several British colonial territories in Asia and the likes of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan etc. Everyone else moves on. The black man remains a victim.

If you find yourself at the bottom of every single society you occupy, perhaps you're not doing something right and the first step in getting it right is an admission of your failure and acceptance of responsibility.

Some European countries are better than the US in Education and health.

Some Middle eastern countries are better than Japan in infrastructure development.

Please show us where any African country beats these develop countries.

All we do are excuses and sentiments.

We deal with such Racist A**holes all the time here in S.A the same dumb people who don't even realise that when black people came into power the Apartheid Government was throat deep in debt they've easily forgotten that the S.A people they hate so much had to first pay off all of their international debts and clean up their mess.

The one thing people don't realise is that the Current S.A is a lot more modern and prosperous than it ever was during the Apartheid Era.

They f*cked up the country.

To those who think our infrastructure is going down, then can you please explain why south Africa is no longer considered as a 3rd world country but a newly industrialised Country.

Even though we mate hate it, but Most South Africans know that the reason behind the Loadshedding *Power cuts* is due to the fact that our Government has decided to upgrade and carry out much needed maintenance on all of our Electrical infrastructure it is small sacrifice to make, which will benefit all of us in the long run.

Not forgetting that we are Building new Power stations, and maintaining what already exists we are trying to avoid being in the same situation many African Countries are in right now where their Electricity Distribution network hasn't been maintained since it was created.

I guess u are SAn? I don't now how old you are but I guess u heard what mmusi masimaine said about ur economy and the loss of businesses and by extension jobs? Which was corroborated by businessnews that evening. See service delivery in major cities of SA. See Nkandla what is a man doing with a whole settlement fit enough for a village as his personal house? If not a black man? Let the truth be told always.

We are busy burning down local refineries and paying hugely for imported fuel at the same time. Don't we deserve such ridicule?

Anyone that abuses the black race and Nigeria as a result of these comment are cowards, hypocrites and have inferiority complex ...we all contributed to the mess we we found ourselves in ..if we change our ways and stop worshiping our leaders and wealthy Nigerians due to their ill gotten wealth without questioning where they got their wealth from, protest against marginalization and corruption and stop hiding behind the key board to lament all year round, then Nigeria will be a better place.. the people make up the society and the leaders come from that same society...they are a product of what we are....materialistic..tribalistic..egocentric....and bias even in the face of truth..so don't come her and start talking down on Nigeria..if we want this country to be better then we must all change our ways and give credit and honor those that have integrity and are honest in all their areas of endevour.
