They always shout meritocracy and they never voted for Soludo, Otti, Ndukwe and Ngige. They will rather vote for the likes Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji and that old man of Ebonyi.

They are just bunch of noise making clowns.

In a typical Nigerian fashion, people are not even bothered to look at the factors used to determine the ranking! Here are the factors:

Years of schooling
School attendance
Child Mortality
Nutrition
Electricity
Sanitation
Drinking water
Flooring
Cooking fuel
Asset ownership

Anambra lost the second spot due to years of schooling and school attendance.

The SW is the second smallest Zone geographically In Nigeria.
yet Half (50%) of those farms are located there.
While the other half are all over Three Zones of the north.

Keep your st.up.id greatness to yourself. It is vulgar to speak about your own success in public. It only incites hate from people. If you are really from the SW you are not reping us well. That kind of behaviour does not show emotional intelligence.

Well, unlike Osun Anambra don't owe pensioners. They get paid as at when due with extra bags of rice to remind them how much we appreciate their services. That's Anambra for you.

Apparently a wrong picture was used to highlight the story or something. But unless you are accusing Elombah of outrightly lying in its report, it would seem like your people are no different from those you accuse of distributing food stuffs to solicit votes.

Excerpts from the article read thus (emphasis mine in bold):

Reports from Anambra State say the the Governor Mr. Willie Obiano has started massive distribution of 50kg bags of rice in preparation for the Anambra 2018 governorship election. The Mama Africa brand of rice is being delivered in "more than 50 Trailer loads" and is currently being distributed to all the state government Ministries and extra-ministerial departments in the state.

....

Head of one of the Ministries who spoke with elombah.com stated she is already selling her allocation for N9,000 per bag. Observers wonder how a man that has spent less than one year in office will start campaigning for another four years.

"Is that not too early...even if he will claim it's Christmas bonanza?" a civil servant asked rhetorically.

Bad road in Osun? Are you ok? The same Osun where tarred roads pass through every street, even in remote villages? You need help!

One thing is certain. Oil prices have falling rarely to get back to the high price it formerly was. Its effect is the low income FG gets which subsequently affects the amount states get. Osun is already feeling the heat. I hope she finds a way to settle her financial challenges on ground as any further propaganda on paper will not help in any way to salvage the shameful situation. Crises is good for any entity to be firm. The wind is blowing already let's see those that can stand.

Not sure why anybody is excited by these stats.

Assuming these stats are even valid...

SE and SW vritually have the same poverty rate if you think critically about this:

Osun is only marginally better than Anambra (11.2-10.9=.03% difference).

Lagos is a conglomerate of many groups and should honestly be discounted if we are comparing regional ethnic groups.

Other SE states and SW states occupy the top lists in equal succession.

The only exception to this is ebonyi which has a poverty rate comparable to the North. If you take the simple average of all the states' poverty rate for each region but disregard their populations (which looks like what the OP did) you would think that the SW is the least poor. This is just because of the drag that we see in Ebonyi.

A weighed average of all the states (taking into account their populations) is a better representative of the poverty rate for each region going by this list. Ebonyi is the least populated state in the SE. Discount Lagos which is a multicultural city and you will see that the SW and SE actually may have similar poverty rates.

Katsina a whooping 82%, lordy lordy, means only 18% can afford 3 meals a day.

By 2019 it could be 100% poverty rate in Katsina (considering his ineptness) Buhari would make sure.

Oyo has the 4th largest GDP in Nigeria.... but where does it rank on that list?... definitely not 4th.
