@Passingshot,am surprised you lost the best virtue one can possess (patience) so soon.Yes you maybefrusrated and dissapointed due to the Tanoid daiily bashing, but I think reforming the pulic service is of more importance than appointing ministers now beside it cost saving to the govt as a reformed civil service will aid the minister in achieving the goal of thegoverment

30 days is not too much to preparre for 4yrs journey, slow and steady win the race. This is a marathon and not a sprint
My apprehension is borne out of the news we may actually not have ministers till late August or early September.

The damage such long delay can cause is better imagined than experienced.

Appointing COS, SGF and some key advisers will go a long way in helping dousing the apprehension.

I remain resolute in my belief in PMB to deliver but certain things need to be done early.

My position has always been to support or oppose issues based on their merit/demerits.

From today I forgive you all your sins against GEJ, PDP, myself, my fellow Tanoids, Tandroids, Gejites, Wailing Wailers and all. grin grin grin

All for just this Thread you opened.
But, on a more serious note, I salute your objectivity in calling a spade a spade without partisan colouration.

Fact is I sincerely want Buhari to succeed, not just for him to make a name but for the good of myself, my family and our future.
If the man fails believe me bro, we will only shout and kick him out come 2019, but it won't solve our problems, but would have only made us to remain either stagnant or even retrogressed. So I always pray he succeeds that I may prosper. I believe also that every right thinking Nigerian should think along same lines.

The elections are over, PMB has won, he has to make efforts to heal the raw wounds that were opened during the run-up to the elections and rally the nation.
If he is a wise leader, he would have read the body language of the people and known what we wanted. Even making the right statements would go a long way to give hope.
But he just doesn't.

Any wonder Bloomberg said he "Doesn't say anything about anything"?

At the bold part, some people care more about party and politicians who don't care 'two hoots' about them.

There is no gainsaying the fact that I am an ardent believer and supporter of the president. I am still proud in the little ways I contributed to his victory at the last presidential poll. Not only that I campaigned for his emergence online and offline, I also contributed financially to the course.

As I have said on many occasions in the past, it will be silly for me to want to stick out my neck to defend politicians when they’re clearly in the wrong and especially when I am not in any way related to any of them. PMB has clearly erred in this prolonged delay to name his cabinet! I once did a thread to support him when he was criticized just after twelve days in office https://www.nairaland.com/2371788/efforts-signs-president-buhari-twelve but I have no genuine reasons to continue to hold on to that position after another three weeks.

At first, I accepted that GEJ’s deliberate delay in handing over of hand-over notes of MDAs to the president was responsible for the delay in appointing his ministers BUT can the same excuse/reason still be valid for the continued stalling of this very important action more than a month after receiving the documents?

I also accepted that not knowing who the NASS leaders were going to be was partly responsible for not naming a COS and SGF but again, it’s already more than three weeks since we’ve known our Senate President and HOR Speaker! Besides, appointment of these two very important personnel (SGF & COS) have NOTHING to do with the purported “merging of some MDAs” the president is believed to be working on.

Not having a COS and an SGF must surely be impacting negatively on governance. Not acting very fast and decisively to name key advisers and some ministers (Finance, Works, Power/Energy, etc.) is surely making the president look confused and indecisive! It is irritating and even frustrating to read that we may not have ministers until late August or early September. Though I don’t want to believe this news but if it is what PMB is planning, it is in his interest to drop toying with that idea. Such action/plan is not only naïve, clueless and irritating but also very dangerous and unexplainable!

Does the president not need some of these ministers and other political appointees to drive through his policies? Or does he think he and a few clique of Fashola, Ogbonnaya Onu, Amaechi, etc (in unofficial capacities at that) can resolve all the myriad challenges in all ministries? Can the Permanent Secretaries breathe the type of fresh life needed in their ministry to it? Nigeria deserves far better than this from PMB/APC and their team.

Make no mistakes about it, sending GEJ and his team packing and the enthronement of Muhammadu Buhari as our president was the best decision Nigerians took in the last general election. But having said this, I have to add that the president has somewhat failed in the areas mentioned. PMB needs to make us continue to believe in him as the leader Nigeria needs at this critical time of our nation’s life.

Mind you, there is crisis already in the polity/economy not just because he has no balls to extricate himself from his godfathers and appoint ministers but he has NO single economic initiative to introduce...

And his refusing to declare his assets shows his trumpeted integrity is a farce too....His assets by far exceeds what he's told Nigerians in the past hence the fear to make it public knowing fully the attendant backlash and consequence....maybe they are doctoring some reports nowgrin

GEJ extricated himself from godfathers and they swarmed on inept bihari who can't even appoint the least and nucleus of his cabinet now...

Even our NASS has been infected with his ineptitude...

So what has he done differently from Jonathan's policies?...So where's his leadership acumen?...Where are his templates?... Where's he better if he's copying Jonathan's blueprints from security to all...

Common, we're talking about COS, SGF, Advisers and a few ministers whose ministries will not be merged such as Finance, Works, etc.

PDP led 7th Assembly approved his list of advisers immediately but unfortunately he doesn't know what to do with it or who's qualified for what and where...

Best time to loot in Nigeria is now with no accountability and supervision...cool
