I have much respect for this forum because it informs and educates. I also believe that the information is useful and constructive. Having said that I feel this particular thread is quite judgmental and biased. Yes being over weight is not favorable to your health and also how you are received physically on this increasingly vain world. Please do not use this forum to tar women with a brush that will encourage emotional and maybe physical abuse. To say a woman is ugly based on what stats? The stats of Europeans? By the way God created so please take it up with the creator. Attitudes like this make ladies perm, bleach and fake their way just to be accepted. How about suggesting the ladies lose some weight and take care of their physical appearance without saying that they lost in the genetic lottery hence they cannot find a job !!! Picture talking to your daughter " oh sorry sweety , you are a fat and ugly Nigerian so you will probably be unemployable"!!!!

its a good thing that the poster did not condemn nigerian women in totality, so i dont have any personal issue with his post since the contents do not affect me in any way. so i can confidently say that i am among the beautiful nigerian women.
everybody is different and sees things in different ways. some people think mercedes benz are fanciful and would desire to buy them, but others think beetle cars are the best and are crazy for them, the same thing goes everywhere.
i respect men like justwise, even he does not totally agree with some of the claims made, but he has shown a degree of civilisation by respecting the opinions of the poster knowing fully well that you cant force a person to say something is beautiful whereas he sees them as ugly.
the poster clearly wrote that his post might be seen as offensive and he made further warnings,  before making his controversial claims. so, those of you who read the advise and warnings and yet came in to make bashing comments should examine your own level of english understanding.

I have been to a few countries and i have been around different people from different countries, races and cultures. i will admit Nigerian men are probably the most self-hating human beings that exist in our time.

I have never seen quite a high level of ignorance anywhere else in the world. I have seen women of all shapes, sizes and facial features in all catergories of workplaces and they usually got there because of their qualifications and ability to do the job and never because of their physical appearances.

It's OP observation and opinion....and there is good deal of truth in what he says....just that he should've coated it a bit and not just put out the bitter truth which so many find hard to swallow. It is a fact that in the Western World qualifications is not everything. Right or wrong... the fact remains that corporations especially do pay much attention to image/looks when hiring. They look to hire attractive and pleasant people. It's not only Nigerians but the same apply to the locals..but like OP said...the Nigerian as a foreigner has to be above the locals to be considered. Most ehmm... bloated people on the jobs...both men and women.... got the extras after being hired.OP...u2harsh!

thats the most amusing thing of black men who marry or only date white women. They start feeling like their are above any black woman. Sad thing is white people still see him a black man with self hate.
