With the Swag Zenith bank has, their pay is poor.
How? 110 isn't bad for entry level, if it's true...

I doubt the source of this information because I'm an ex-banker of 1 of the mentioned banks. Moreover you shouldn't publicize take home pay of particular industries. It's between the staff, their employers and their family not the whole Nigeria or NL. Cheers

God bless you sir!

Housing and dressing allowance which is paid as upfront at the beginning of a financial year, leave allowance, quarterly allownace, pay for performance (this is paid to every staff and calculated based on how you performed in the immediate past financial year, some banks also pay some kind of tea allowance end of every mnth.

I will want to believe you work(ed) in a bank like i did to avoid further waste of time.
warm regards

lol.
And you saw their pay slip to see they don't pay all this.

Uncle, I repeat...all these allowances are summed up in your monthly salary. How would GTbank not pay leave allowance, appraisal bonus, tea allowance and what have you_ bikonu? Does it sound right to you?

Please stop the slander. Every bank knows what they wanna pay you. If they like, they can split it into a 100 allowances, when they add it up_ it's still what they wanna pay you.

GTB remains undisputed champion in pay.
Then Diamond... wink

I even wonder why topic on Bankers pay turns people on like this...lols

@dignify me, I am permanently dignified dear. It isn't a function of you replying me or not. smiley
Takia too... while saying things you're sure of.
Does it matter if they split the allowances, paying them individually or summing it up with the basic pay?

Till you see a GTbank pay slip, just ____.

Re: What Nigerian Banks Pay Their Workers by orgasm(m): 3:27pm On Jul 29, 2015
All these figures are wrong and well below the salary package of entry level of the aforementioned banks. I wonder where OP got his data from. Obviously mistaking contract staff for entry (core) staff and when someone earns 100k in a month it does not amount to 1.2m annually cos of the allowances that are not monthly emoluments. If you have worked before you should known that.
The minimum or average entry level for Nigeria banks is 3m per annum.
Your figures are misleading.
Get your facts right next time.

Journalism in Nigeria is now thrown to the dogs, or maybe bloggers have taken over by sitting in their rooms and telling all sorts of lies in the name of reporting..and then Nairaland brings all sorts of rubbish to front page.

Needless to say..what OP wrote are all lies.

Diamond bank, Access Bank, UBA all pay their entry level staff a net of above 200k per month, with GTb falling a little below that. I do understand that Zenith bank has some quarterly pay they inculcate in their pay (just like KPMG), in addition to the monthly net, hence they may actually be paying more than the 110k portrayed here.

They will make profit. Have you also noticed how they sack these staff and recruit fresh graduates every so often? Those fresh graduates will starte from the scratch too including entry level salary. I am sure it's not yet N140k

You are right, all the entry levels mentioned by the ops is exaggeration
I dnt know 4 others but as 4 gtbank, the OP is 100% right, entry level pay is 209k. I think diamond bank had theirs reviewed last year and its now something around 240k for entry level guys.....not contract staff oo cos their own matter different

Wrong figures OP. Gtbank is not the highest in the industry and no bank pays 200k and above to entry level staff in Nigeria. Among the top banks the difference is insignificant. Mind you one can spend 5 yrs without promotion. Though Gtbank promotes it's staff more often than others. Banks like first bank and Ecobank have very good salaries but no promotion

My point exactly and someone who has never worked in bank is arguing .I really dont understand how people who have little or no knowledge on salaries paid to bank staff or even working in banks make the loudest noise.

Good point.first bank and eco bank really have issues on promotion But it could also be as to avoid over head cost.Promoting the staff will mean them releasing more money, get the point? So its a smart way way of controlling operational cost but very wicked and not a good morale boost to staff.

Ever wonder y we have attitude problem with bank workers when we go to banks? THIS COULD BE THE MAIN REASON
