You are still where you were. Are both of them not MTK devices? They are! They use mediatek processor with some others including:
Alcatel
Gionee

Huawei
Lenovo
Xiaomi ......etc.

So, when the Op, said he dumped Tecno, I expected to hear that he went for something higher, with a qualcomm snapdragon but I was disappointed to hear "infinix".Apart form the OTA update, can you tell other differences between the tecno and the infinix?

You updated you new infinix hot note from 4.4 to 5.1 and call it "value for money" that's your opinion cos
I wonder what that really means. I have compared my colleague's galaxy note 4 running lollipop and my note3 running kitkat and saw no reason to upgrade.

Lastly, I think Tecno is more expensive because it is the most popular among those MTK devices. As Your infinix is becoming popular, the price will also be increasing too.

You enjoyed the FLAGSHIP, ALMIGHTY(according to you) tecno phantom z, but when you discovered you can't upgrade OTA, you labelled it a "scam" bros that singular deficiency is not enough for the name calling.

not all xiaomi phones use MTK chipsets...i'm a user of one that doesnt...the mipad uses Nvidia, the MI2a (successor of the redmi 1s) uses xiaolong and some other not so popular chipsets...but i'd say that tecno is shyte and plastic...not worth spending a naira on that bull-nigga-shizzle

PS; before you start bashing i'm a user of one and i live here in SE asia where these phones are widely used...

Dude you was making sense till you mentioned HTC, the people who birthed Android phones. Because they produced an MTK device this year doesn't make HTC a Mediatek device. Are you aware HTC also has a Windows phone? Does that make the brand HTC a Windows device? HTC remains the first Android device and the best. Don't ever compare that brand to another.

He's right to have called the device a scam. This device was referred to as a flagship device and it cost more than the others. And for a device that cost that much, it should have had remarkable after-sales service. It didn't. It didn't offer enough value for the customer's money. The customer has every right to complain.

MTK and Samsung Cortex are actually a very good Chipsets for Phones.

I'm sure he regrets selling the Phantom Z, shelling off 30k because of lack of lollipop update which Tecno never promised more than he enjoys Lollipop update on this infinix hot note pro, hence the campaign after election.

Honestly don't know which to tell you. I use a samsung galaxy. From what they are saying here, you may try infinix since they said it has OTA update feature and affordable too.

Even Samsung and Sony use mediatek processors in some of their recent phones as Samsung signed a pact with them last year. Huawei make use of the HiSilicon Kirin in their top end phones.

TECHNO and other OEM don't need to promise regular OTA updates, because those updates are compulsory to fix bugs and add new features.

Any OEM that doesn't update their devices to fix bugs, lacks better after sales support. And that's the major problem with TECHNO, just visit their services center to see angry crowd.

Some people can be very foolish eh. .... The update that you are talking about isn't even out via ota.. .. You still have to flash the rom.. ... Get your facts..... How much is the infinix hot note? Around 25k and the more stylish and durable tecno camon c8 is 25k8 please get your facts right and straight... You keep talking about ram when you don't know much about processing! What's the ram of iPhone6? ....
