you seems to think you know or have someone in GTBANK
now let me tell you something, if you add up all the pay a GTBANK staff gets in a 12 calender month, the bank is not amongst the first 10 in nigerian bank by pay.

E.g. GTB leave allowance is 10% of their basic pay(an Executive Trainee in GTB collects less than 60K as Leave Allowance) but a bank like first bank pay 10% of Gross(this is well over 200k(i am not sure right, i left a while ago).

GTB Bonus and profit sharing for entry level staff is a joke, most times the profit pay is not up to 70k

This former MD of GTB was the best they will ever have, he died with good working condition in that bank

Meanwhile Diamond Bank pay the highest profit bonus in Nigeria Banking industry

Oga, calm down and stop blaspheming. You know not what you're saying.

Calm down with the exaggerations sire, I've been on both sides of the wall, its not bad as u're making it look. You've chosen to leave out a whole Lotta pros whilst amplifying the cons.

In that case, her deliverable would be more that N70k every month.

Please tell me the pros?
Gt bank staff is over worked...if you work there, if u are an old staff, u know how GT bank staff was enjoying when Uncle T was alive.

Right now, Segun is just concerned about settling the shareholder's well enough and don't care about the staff that makes the money.

I have highlighted a couple of facts which u vaguely oposed without any direct counter,

Quote any of my submissions wrong

I don't agree with you on Fidelity bank. As at 2013, entry level was N80k. When did it sky rocket to 140k?

True! Fidelity doesn't pay well ... Diamond and GTB yes!

Nigeria workers deserve much more.
In America;
A CNA worker(caregiver, babysitter, minder, househelp etc) gets an average $29,000(5.51m naira/yr).

There is nothing to celebrate about, a banker in nigeria is poor.

otiigba1:
What!? Pocket money! Over here banks cashier get £1200(420,000 naira) to start with and then upwards, depending on position and experience

Pure idiotic contributions!

What is the tax on those earnings?

How much is their rent?

How much is the cost of transportation?

How much is food and drinks?

How much do they pay as council tax, car tax, TV licence etc?

How much does repairs of things or other artisan labour cost to them?

You really thought you were making sense by highlighting people in Western countries are higher earners generally because they live in richer countries?

When I started working in a bank in 2001 my monthly salary was 90000 then my friends working in civil service were paid 15000, NNPC friends were paid 25000.

Am really surprised entry point salary is still as it was though I heard that they have now some crook levels, in our days we started as Assistant officers(entry point)

When I left banking in 2013 my monthly take home was 660,000, now am an employer of labour and am yet to be 40, have four houses two in Abuja two in my state.

God bless Cecilia Ibru

You did not diversify your asset location?

One civil war in Nigeria and you are dead broke refugee. undecided
