Very different from the last one, what's with the eagle? Compare to this a year ago....Wow! time fly so fast. BTW there is nothing "Nigerian" about that doodle apart from the colours, Noting that is peculiar to our culture. How many times have you ever seen an eagle in Nigeria self. They should change it, It looks like a logo for a brand of soap or milk.

especially the ones that celebrate an event such as a country’s independence day, are always anticipated and revered. Since 2010, Google has been creating illustrative artwork that feature the colours, cultures, flags or fabrics of Nigeria.

Last year, to mark the Nigeria’s 54th Independence Anniversary Day celebration, Google had a .GIF doodle that features the three most popular means of transport for daily commuters in Lagos, the country’s commercial capital — the motorcycle, popularly referred to as okada, the mini-bus, popularly known as danfo, and the tricycle, widely known as keke marwa.

The passengers in these vehicles also appear to represent the three major tribes — Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba — respectively, dressed in their native attires and carrying the Nigerian flag, grining and waving as they ride on.

Nigeria gained independence on the 1st of October, 1960. This is the third doodle for Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary to be created by Google since October 2010. in 2013, Google featured the colours of the Nigerian flag, green and white, with a touch of different shades of green and grey patterned like a Nigerian (native) fabric popularly sewn and worn by the Hausas.

in 2015, below is the picture of what Google used to celebrate Nigeria's 55 years of Independence

true, eagles are not as common in Nigeria as they are in America.

Nigeria has falcons or hawks mostly imo.

anyone who thinks otherwise should post their comment.

Google as a search engine ought to have done its search to know that Nigeria has little to celebrate after 55 years of independence.

Nigeria is a country where about 1% of its population gorged up about $1Trillion of proceeds from the country's crude oil in Fifty years, leaving the masses poorer.

But One Nigeria serves the interest of a few groups at the detriment of the majority. So who would want one Nigeria to continue unless the minority benefiting from Nigeria?
