so is there any way or pattern or guidelines on how i can arrange my self or package myself to go to the embassy. i just dnt wanna involve any agent in dis. i wanna do it myself. so biko any form of help and guidelines will be welcomed.

U package yourself by reading the thread, visiting the USembasssy site, studying it. The help we offer here is advice and answer to specific questions. We too Aren't agents. Take your time and do your research. All your confusion will be cleared

You honestly tell the VO why you are going to the U.S., who you are visiting, and why you decided to. The second I can't figure out why you are actually going to the U.S. I am forced to refuse you.

Don't believe the stories that people tell you about having rehearsed stories and sticking to them, it's just bad advice.

But we are really good friends'
Look at the big picture. Will the young man leave all the fine fine Aishas and Saratus to abscond?will he leave his job,perks and other ties? Likely not. These are the factors that would sway a reasonable Man

@VO am not intending to enter US to run away or any other bad thing. My only intention is to visit her and tour America, possibly spending a few weeks and come back to nigeria.
NB: I have my biz am doing here in nigeria which I can't just abandon, and 2ndly I can't marry a foreigner for anything.

What I would ask of you now is to tell me what and how an intending visitor to the US should arm and prepare his self while coming to the embassy. But am not desperate to enter the US though, am only going based on tourism and visit. But if its gonna make me look like an intending immigrant then I just have to forget about it and save myself the stress. And also plz the lady in question is not my girlfriend, we are just friends,I just wanna use dis opportunity to visit US as I've never been there before and I've always desired to visit. Tnk you

Your best bet is to make a self explosive travel plans (hotels accommodation, reasons of your trip and so on). Reasons been, relationships such as yours may mean well but always suspicions.

Even with a visa waiver passport to states, cbp officers still look at it in a funny way because they consider it that you don't know the individual too well. Yes with your waiver status if with enough money and no criminal background they still allow the individual. If they have concerns with those with such status (visa waiver passport holders), how much more you (Nigerian) with stright administrative restrictions.
Make your own arrangements, if successful, you see her in your trip.

I will refuse to draw conclusions that you want to settle in states if successful in your application as any one else has stated. The intends is only known between you and your maker. You don't have to keep defending your self, it makes no sense.

S/He spoke generally and the response flowed from @FPL's assertion that a red flag will be raised and the earlier advice to go via hotel reservation and not mention your friend. Is the name on your passport hommikr? . Why u de panic na?

You could try to attend your interview together, but the interviewing VO might separate you. I don't see why you would need your dad to come in with you though unless you are under 18.

Good day all, I'm scheduled for US visa application interview in Dec with my husband. This is my first attempt at travelling, though my husband has been to UK and few African countries. We've made a hotel reservation for visit. What sort of questions should we expect to be asked please?
