Well, like i explained, the Latvian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs is responsible for screening the personality and calibre the the person who is inviting, and also the circumstances of the one who is to be invited: and once the invitation has been given a pass, the visa is almost certain unless the embassy finds probable cause to deny it.
This regulation does not apply to someone who is applying for tourist visa without invitation.

Thank you so much brother, my girlfriend is inviting me she just submitted application at their ministry of foreign affairs, so Right Now we are waiting for their verdict.
Once again, special thanks for the reply.

@ Vicjustice, thanks for the pieces of advice u give here. i have a question; i saw a statement on the PBS dependant guidance outline which states thus;

'PBS (Dependant) POLICY GUIDANCE

iii) Letter from bank confirming funds and that they have been in the bank for at least 28 days. The letter from a bank or building society should show:
• the name of the main applicant and/or your name, or (for children only) the name of your other parent who is also legally present in the United Kingdom;
• the account number;
• the date of the letter;
• the funds held in the account; and
• that the funds have been in the bank for at least 28 days and the amount of money available.
Letters that simply state the balance in the account on a particular day or an average balance over the 28 day period are not sufficient.'

My question is dat does this means we could present only a letter from the bank with these details inclusive without the statement of account or what? Please, I need an urgent reply. Thanks.

Your uncle's sponsorship won't be accepted, he will have to explain why he is sponsoring you and what he will gain for sponsoring you: not even your parents sponsorship would be acceptable in this instance.

Hello Vicjustice,
I've been reading your posts frequently, thanks so much for ur sincere responses on this forum.

I'm a young graduate that just started work not more than two months. I finished NYSC last February. I have a Canadian white girlfriend that I've never met physically who has been calling for my relocation to Canada. I told her I don't know the proceeds of it because I've never applied for visa as a Nigerian. Please can u outline to me how I could go about it successfully?

What you'd need is a tourist/visit visa. To apply for such, you need to be in a steady eemployment for one year.

Sir, is there any other option aside a whole year employment? She wants me in Canada as soon or as early as possible.

You wouldn't need a bank statement nor evidence of sustained employment to apply for work permit.

Embassies are aware of the poor documentation of Nigerians hence they accept age declaration or affidavits from Nigerians.

Thank u vicjustice for ur candid reply. But if work permit could be an option, please I'll be glad if u could respond to my worries:
1. What are the chances of getting a Canadian work permit visa in the embassy?
2. What are the requirements to meet up with, and documents needed for the work permit?
3. Does it also require IELTS? Because it was TOEFL I did.

You will likely be getting a B1/B2 visa. Lately they've been giving out multiple visa which is good for 2 years but you are not allowed to spend the entire 2 years in the US on one visit. At the point of entry, the admitting immigration officer will decide how long your stay in the US will be. 90% of time, they will stamp you in for 6 months. Example, if you arrive US Dec. 12 2015, you're expected to leave not later than June 11, 2016.

Like Vic rightly said, you are not eligible or permitted to work without USCIS employment authorization.
Also, there are really no set of documents that guarantees any applicant a US visa even though most naija folks screem IV letter and fat account statement. I have seen people with less than #200,000 in their account issued a visa simply because they have a good job, family ties such as wife, kids, and dependent parents, etc while people with few million naira in their account denied.
I think it will be safe to say your visa (if they will issue one) will already be approved even before you get to the interview. If you f-up, makes it easier to deny! Likewise easy to complete the issuing process if you present your case well.
Biggest challenge for a 25yrs old single girl like you is proving strong family ties. Every non-immigrant visa applicant is considered an intending immigrant unless proven otherwise! Good luck!

I mentioned some family ties in my reply that you quoted. The visa officer will basically be the one to decide if you have strong ties or not. Am not saying that single people your age or that have gov. Jobs can't be issued visa but honestly, your job is no big deal to them. There are people with all kind of ties including families, businesses, and properties that left and never looked back and at the same time, there are people without any of the things I listed that also got their visa. I always tell anybody that ask me to just go with what they have, put in their best and hope for a positive outcome. Good luck!

There is no requirement to apply for a work permit. You can be jobless and apply for one Infact the purpose of work permit is to enable you get a job legally and obtain a tax ID to pay your taxes when you work.

Even when a job or company is sponsoring your job training or conference meeting in the US, be prepared to answer questions on how you can assist in those expenses if need be/arise. If your account as a working lady is empty, or your salary is poor, you'll be seen as an applicant that is fully dependent on people. There's nothing wrong with that but it always look better when the applicant or traveler is a minor (under 21 for immigration purpose). Pls bear in mind that am not trying to scare you or discourage you! Am simply preparing you for the worst but hopefully you will be interviewed by an officer that won't carry the whole procedure for head. The main purpose of this screening and ofcox asking for prof is to prevent people from being public cargo (government wahala) when they get here and decide not to go back.
Also, as much as you plan or have the mind not to break the immigration laws, your plans on how to live here already seem a law breaking plans. You're applying for a conference visa (B1/B2) but also plan to both work and go to school which requires F1 visa status.
Visa and status are complete two different thing. You can NOT get a US visa inside the US, you can only maintain a status. In your case, if issued a visa which they normally/mostly give 2 years now, you are not allowed to stay more than 6 months on every trip/visit. You only have that period to change your status and once that is done, you can not go back to whatever visa status your previous one was. In other words if denied both done die (hardly happen though). So, while here, you need a sponsor that will pay your international student fees which is usually 4 times or even more than US citizen or PR students. When admission is secured, you now use ur admission letter, i-20, sponsors affidavit including 3 years taxes and Proof of sufficient funds to sponsor your education to apply for F1 student status. Make sure your sponsor is willing to pay you Spring and Fall semester tuition (summer semester is optional).
You also plan to assist your aunt! We don't call it assistance here lol, we call it work. In this case you will be working under the table for her which is not a big deal but working outside the school or home is violation without work permit (F1 student are not eligible to get WP) except severe hardship hit their sponsor (hard to proof cux your sponsor no go quit their job Lai lai). What else did you ask? Emmmm

Hello Vicjustice. I have read and understood your main post here. But I'll like few clarification. I am single and I would be attending a Trade Fair/Conference in Germany by next year 2016. My company will sponsor the entire trip. Please note the company/business is owned by my elder sister. In your post you highlighted two of the points below:

* (If sent or sponsored by your employer,) the evidence letter to this effect; expected to demonstrate the reasons and benefits for sponsoring you;
* (If sent or sponsored by your employer,) the
company's financial statement with evidence of
fund availability for your own use;

My questions therefore are:
1. How does my company show/prove fund availability for my use for the purpose of the trip?
2. Do I need to include my pay slip even though the company is sponsoring me?
3. Do I stand a chance of getting the visa? Because it will be the first time I'll ever apply for any kind of visa. Thank you.

Bros Vic, thanks for your time and good heart. May God be with you in all your endeavours. My case I believe is simple (with God). I intend to run a Masters program in the US, am targeting 2017 Fall. I have no sponsor whatsoever and my employment is barely N1m p.a. Please, kindly help me clear the following doubts I have:
Will I ever get a school where I'll get a completely free tuition, G.A and other Income streams that will cater for my accommodation and upkeep?
Assuming the above is possible, will I ever get my Visa granted for study given the fact that am without a sponsor?
Please help, am a complete novice in this. You help and guidance will come in handy

1. The company can allocate some fund for the purpose by any of these ways:
A, Paying an appropriate amount into your personal account;
B, Issuing you a cheque with the reasonable amount;
C, Permitting you to have access into an allocated company's account.
D, Issuing you a credit card or prepaid credit card.

2. It may be relevant to show evidence of personal earnings.

3. Every passport is issued in virgin state: anybody who fulfils the requirements does have a chance.

Hey Vicjustice, In the case where the person is issue a checque of credit card. Should the person carry a credit card statement to the embassy? Can someone show Traveller Cheques to the visa agent?
