I may not be in support of Biafra,

I may not be an Igbo,

I may not be a fan of Namdi Kanu,

but I support freedom of speech and freedom of expression,

Mr Saun should not want to run his forum as the APC administration which support impunity at all level, in other words he should not make me believe he is one of the people in support of the social network bill in the Senate.

Every one should rise in protest against this rule, it does not matter if you are from the east or not.

people should be allowed to express them self.

Thank you.

This is not about freedom of speech.

This is about taming the level of hatred and bigotry on this forum.

This is about maintaining sanity and upholding the founding values of Nairaland as a uniting force, not to be used as a tool for division.

If the Nigerian government deems it that Radio Biafra as a forum is illegal and invested in jamming its signals, what more Nairaland which is equally a forum made up of the same IPOB elements?

These elements must either abide by the rules of the site owner or leave permanently to where their hateful and divisive antics would be tolerated. The best they can do now is write an undertaking to Seun, promising to eschew bigotry, hatred, insults, propaganda etc. in their quest for biafra.....if its not already too late.

The above is why rule 9 must say. Assumptions can become dangerous when freedom becomes limitless.

Just like most of the comments here have been hiden, i think the Mod should have started banning or hidings post and comments which are seen as hateful, divisive antics, bigotry, hatred, insults, propaganda etc other then close down the whole thread.

Take it or leave, it was only on Nairaland that majority of us gets to know about the protests and why they are protesting. Nigeria is a very big country and news comes out everyday in Millions. Nairaland remains a one stop for all News coming out from Nigeria.

I believe blocking all threads on Biafra will only block people from important news and all. Which might cause someone to visit an area in the East when he or she is not supposed to.

I still believe Seun and co should come up with a more reasonable way around this, not just closing every Biafra threads.
