Hey Vicjustice, In the case where the person is issue a checque of credit card. Should the person carry a credit card statement to the embassy? Can someone show Traveller Cheques to the visa agent?
Yes, you may need to provide evidence of fund as it will be impossible to show how much money that is in the credit card without the associated statement.
As for the cheque, a tenderable cheque is ok, but you may need to satisfy the visa officer with liquidating details

Greetings to you boss, please I will need your help, I applied for france tourist visa did the bio metric and submition 2 dec 2015 and I got a message my application was ready 7/23/2015, the only reason started on my denial was the information submitted regarding the justification for the purpose and condition of the intended stay was not reliable, my intended date of traveling was 2/1/2016 and return 8/1/2016. The question now is should I appeal as I submitted all that was required, considering the time frame of appeal, would u advice me to appeal or just re apply and if I choose to reapply what time do you think is the best time to reapply, I hear some people say a month after or so, please clearify thanks and God bless you

Hello house please I need help, I applied for france schengen visa 2/12/2015 I got refusal 7/12/2015, I summited all the required documents, with account balance of 1.6millon and dorm account of 5600$, I applied for a tourist visa for 5 days, january 3 to 8 2016, to my surprise I got refusal letter with the sole reason "THE INFORMATION SUBMITTED REGARDING THE JUSTIFICATION FOR THE PURPOSE AND CONDITION OF THE INTENDED STAY WAS NOT RELIABLE" I am confused as I got all documents not fake document everything was authentic, the question is what should I do, should I appeal or wait till next year and reapply, I was told appeal takes times and my plan trip is january, meaning before my appeal comes out the planned date of traveling would have pass, I need the guru In the house to inform me on what next to do, and if I plan to appeal should I summit my appeal directly at their embassy in Abuja or I have to do it through Dhl to the lead address on the refusal letter, @vicjustice and others you help will be highly appreciated, thanks and God bless you all

Your company can not sponsor your trip if the purpose of the trip is of no benefit to the company.
I understand that you said your husband doesn't have a saving account, but does he have current account?

Dear Vicjustice,

A friend wish to invite his uncle from Nigeria to Ireland for 8 weeks visit. Its over 20 years he saw him last. The uncle is around age 70 and he recently returned from the US on a visit to his children in the US for 5 months. In addition, the uncle has retired from work few years ago in Nigeria so he's not working at the moment, his children in the US sends money to him regularly for upkeep. Also the uncle has two children in Nigeria that is looking after him though they're not buoyant enough financially like the two children in US. My friend in Ireland want to invite him for 8 weeks. My friend is working full time.

I would like to know what else does he need to send to his uncle apart from the documents listed below:

(1) Copy of my friend's Irish Passport bio-data page ( Photocopy )

(2) Proof of address ( Utility bill ) Original

(3) Copy of Tenancy agreement for house rent ( proof of accommodation ) Photocopy

(4) Pay slips ( Original )

(5) Invitation letter ( inviting his uncle for 8 weeks stating he's sponsoring the trip)

(6) His uncle's savings account statement ( though good transaction but very low balance ) nothing like vast money lodgement. ( Original )

(7) My friend's bank statement as the sponsor ( good balance ) Original

( 8 ) Statement of Purpose why the uncle is being sponsored and how his sponsor will benefit from the trip

Please what else does he need to send to his uncle?

Thank you. Merry Christmas in advance! cheesy

Was your application properly organised and are you currently employed?
And did you have enough documentation required to satisfy the ECO, that you are a honest visitor and not an
Intended overstayer?
I know you clearly stated, that your application was refused. Did you read thoroughly through this thread, prior to submitting your application?

to my understanding, i submitted d docs ...but i guess they were nt convinced enough that i won't be overstayn and they also stated that they do not believe that my sole aim of going to their country was just to visit my gf ..and that i might later be seeking to stay for a longer period.

Inviting a dependant "uncle" to visit you abroad has always been a tough thing. This is because, an uncle does not qualify for family visit visa: therefore, unlike the case with his visit to his own children in the US where he was allowed to be sponsored, he is not eligible for sponsorship in this instance: therefore, he needs to personally fulfil the requirements for a tourist visa. Happy Christmas to you too.

There are many factors that determine the amount of money that is consider adequate, so, it will be illogical to give a direct answer to your question.

Good morning house I've been refused an Australian visa thrice so I met this man he works with the Canadian embassy in Abuja like he said he deals with Canadian, USA and Australian work visa. Anyway we talk about getting an Australian work visa, I've been reading about it but the way he explained to me i'm not convinced. He said I will pay him when the visa comes out from Pretoria, that I can verify it at the airport, call the embassy in Pretoria or via VEVO before paying him. All he said he needs to a start is my passport bio data page, two white background passport photographs, then I will go to Australian embassy in Abuja for my biometric before sending. I asked him what about when I'm in Australia what would happen he said they have officials there at the airport that no problem, I asked about PR he said he will link me with someone there that will put me through from Pretoria. I'm very confused cause all what he's saying aren't really with what I've been reading online concerning all classes of Australian work visa. Please help oooo cause I don't want to get in there and have problem. Waiting to hear from good and experience people here. Thanks y'all

Thank you Vicjustice, info passed cheesy. The uncle is not in a position to personally fulfil the requirements for a tourist visa, for the following reasons: (1) He is not working. (2) I am not sure if a tourist can claim that he know someone in the country that he's travelling to. (3) Don't you think it'll look suspicious for an old man over 70 who is not working and claiming to travel as Tourist & will use hotel, don't you think they will suspect that he definitely know someone there waiting to receive him?

The uncle is not working according to my friend. Any other suggestion as per sponsor level? Although he asked me about applying as a tourist, but i told him that it would be difficult because of his age and the visa officer may refuse him as per he's not working, not even enough in his account that will convince them that he's going as a tourist, hotel, e.t.c. , which is the reason i told him to relax to let me confirm if he can sponsor him since he's inviting him. Or can the uncle's children in US sponsor their dad's trip to Ireland as a tourist, using their bank statements and booking hotel for him?

Am finding it difficult to understand you. If your friend in ireland has the money to provide for his feeding and other expenses he may in cure while leaving with him, why would he not invite him for a visit.

His age is even an advantage even though they will start questioning his motive for visit eg health reasons. If he is in good health he can be invited, all expenses on your friend.

He is not sponsoring him for migration but normal invitation to see his nephew, what is wrong with that? If he will be given visa or not is a different subject

Good Luck.

Thank you for your reply. Yes my friend is inviting his uncle for a visit and all expenses on my friend, he's working full time and has the money to provide for his uncle's feeding and other expenses. His uncles got 2 yrs US visa and he recently returned from US visit. This why i asked the question here if its ok for my friend to sponsor his uncle, but Vicjustice who knows better than me said:

I understand he (uncle) is not considered as direct dependant to him. It is a standard with most advance countries. However, an invitation is still open. In this case a circumstantial one. What do I mean (senior citizen). Yes may not have the money but the nephew takes care of his leaving expenses.

Visa can be given on that. Yes normal invitation requires the invited to meet tourist requirements, burdens normally rest on the invited but it all comes down to case by case as it is applied.

A teenager eg a cousin can be invited ( requirements not met) as a tourist, but visa issued base on the circumstance of the invitation.

Good Luck.

Good analysis, so, what then is the advantage of the invitation if the onus is still on him to meet the requirements?
