https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/section/2/

Click on the link this time before opening your mouth. Oga I too know! I've probably spent more years in school that you've been alive!

Let's not derail this thread further. Take care and face your studies.

I don't know if to call you a lawyer or a liar. Because of the $100 you owe to St. Jude you are coming up with this rubbish. Show me any college/ University in US where APA instead of MLA is used for English class citation as you falsely stated or for ever remain silent. All those links you gave are for general citation on any subject area and not particularly for ENGLISH CLASSES.

Funny how you rephrased the issue to suit your false premise. This is your second time of doing it in just a few posts. Unfortunately, I really do not have the free time to school you.

What political will are you talking about? Does it take political will for investors to identify a good investment opportunity? For your information, if Ajaokuta was to be a deal, they will come for it either by fire or force and there is nothing anybody in Nigeria can do to stop them. They will use the carrot or stick approach, one of which Nigeria must accept. For asking if I expect Russia to use their money, is the concept of direct foreign investment new to you?
So that you know, there is something suspicious about what the Indian company you referred to did. People suspect that they made their billions by salvaging (in other words vandalizing) some few functional equipment from the facility. But this is an issue for another discussion.

So stop being judgmental, and approach the issue with clear mind. Your take home from this discussion should be that Ajaokuta is like a shattered bottle which can never be mended. No offense.
u are just talking like an external govt can force the government of an independent country to do things. Oga Nigeria is a soverign nation and too big for any country to control. U cant even control small countries dis days talk more of Naija, so park well, as for the Indians u talked about dat dey stole and vandalized. FYI they never stole anything, all dey did was a fire brigade approach to make money because dey know how insensitive and clueless our govt was, dey knew dey wldnt last because d deal signed in the first instance was a sham....all to favor baba obj, how do u xplain the fact dat alot of things, equipments and d likes carried otta farm tags, dey are still dere till today....alot of shady deals, alot of people have bin making money from Ajaokuta because dey are all not sincere......just one sincere govt with a strong political will complete Ajaokuta and start making money from it. I don't need to tell u the hundreds of thousands of Jo opportunities dat can be created from Ajaokuta alone. U are just an unrepentant hater of Nigeria. U don't want the best for dis country.

The Minister of Solid Minerals and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, yesterday revealed that the Federal Government had spent over $10 billion on the Ajaokuta Steel Company since its establishment in 1971.

Fayemi made the revelation at the budget defence of the Senate joint Committee on Power and Solid Minerals and Steel Development. He regretted that in spite of the huge funds that had gone into the establishment, the giant project had not been able to provide the technological and other needs of the country.

He pointed out that there was need for the present government to sit back and take a critical study of the Ajaokuta Steel industry, with a view to proffering solution to the seeming intractable problem of the plant, so as to make it viable and productive for the socioeconomic needs of the country.

The Minister lamented that the present condition of the plant was critical in such a way that any money invested in it in an attempt to revive it would amount to throwing a huge treasure into a bottomless pit.

Wailing APC government grin grin grin

OsusuMustFlow:
The Secretary General of African Iron and Steel Development, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi has accused erstwhile Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy in the President GoodLuck Jonathan administration, Dr. Okonjo Iweala of conniving with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to write a phoney audit report on the Ajaokuta Steel Company.

He said the report, which adjudged the company as lacking in prospects was to serve the interest of powerful nations, especially the West, who markets their iron and Steel in Nigeria and other African countries.

Speaking with DAILY POST in Abuja on Tuesday, the Scribe lamented that it was the fourth time international finance organisations would capitalize on corrupt tendencies of Nigeria government officials, who were always ready to compromise and write-off Ajaokuta Iron and Steel Company, despite its huge prospects of being Nigeria’s biggest revenue earnings and employer of labour.

“There was a lot of sabotage going on and I have four different report which were initiated by World Bank against Ajaokuta Steel Company”, Sanusi said.

He added: “another group, which has links with World Bank and IMF were invited from Britain by Bureau of Public Enterprises; they came and condemned Ajaokuta, and when we the stakeholders pointed out their mistakes, they left and never came back to Nigeria up till date”.

Dr. Sanusi also recalled that he faulted the power point presentation of another group, which were brought in by the former Minister of Finance, Dr Okonjo Iweala known as “Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facilities”.

“There is another one the former Minister of Finance, Dr. Okonjo Iweala brought in called Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facilities and after two weeks tour of our steel Facilities, they assembled some officials of the National Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance and Solid minerals and other stakeholders; before you knew it, they reported that their head team had travelled back to Canada”, he added.

Sanusi who admitted that the Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr. Kayode Fayemi was in touch with the Iron and Steel Association, commended President Buhari administration for his concerted effort at revamping the Ajaokuta Iron and Steel steel.

He advised Buhari to personally pay a visit to the steel industry for what he called a first hand information, noting that it would help his decision rather than waiting to be briefed.

“It is not enough that Mr President should be briefed by anybody. I advise him to pay a visit personally with some of his cabinet members so that when he is taking a decision, it is based on facts rather than waiting to be briefed”, Sanusi maintained.
